Recently i've been stressing a bit trying to get some things done before Honeybun arrives, so my legs are swollen...I actually feel swollen all over so yesterday morning, out of nowhere I jst felt a trickle of discharge so I went to check....the discharge was tinged with very dark blood Aaah warris this I've never had any bleeding or spotting in pregnancy before, I dnt even get much discharge...same with my first so it was a bit scary for us. DH suggested we go do scan but I said No, leme jst try rest ( as easy as that is with my energetic 22m old toddler around )n watch it that yesterday or I'll go see the midwife. I got d very dark brown discharge on tissue paper once in awhile when I wiped....guess it's what they call "old blood" but it looks more like dirt than blood sef...but baby has been his/her regular active self so I dnt know what could be the reason for the brown spotting. Still see a tiny spot once in awhile since that yesterday
Any mamas experienced dark brown spotting in late 3rd trimester abeg help chook mouth, dnt know if we shld worry [b][/b]

These days,if i tell you the kind of stares i get from people ehn,i went for my last shopping on sat and one lady started telling me she hopes it will be twin,i just laughed,by the time she then saw me ordering for two-two of same item, she started gossiping with her friend..hmm. On Sunday, as i was returning from church, a man i never knew just started greeting me and laughing at the same time, so i stopped and waited for him to tell me he knew me somewhere before o, only for him to tell me that he's just hailing me,that i'm trying...ewww ,na so everybody go dey hail me for road? When some gbeborun people see me now, they just tell me i'm having twins...shuoo, i just tire my sis,somebody cannot move around again? e be like say i'll not be moving in the day anymore, make i begin dey hide myself henceforth. At the same time i'm happy we're getting there,God's our muscle and it will surely end in praise for us all!

Please someone should help us with a list of do not for newly preggies especially first trimester.

Mum said I should avoid the following;
Uda, utazi, abacha with akanwu or any akanwu food. Also, uziza ( I will surely miss uziza cos I put it in nearly all my soups).

She said I should avoid trekking and byking. I wonder how I can avoid these 2 cos I don't drive.

She said I should always sit while washing. ( I have a washing machine and my hubby practically wash all my cloths so I jump and pass this one)

She said I shld avoid pressing my lower abdomen, sex should also be gentle.

@ my sabi mamas, na for the sex issue I fit get issue. Since I became preggie Hubby's libido is on another level. He now wants to do 3 times daily, though he is gentle. He says it is happiness DT causes it.

Please advise me on this sex issue. How should I handle it?

I am a tea lover; green tea, yellow label, peppermint tea, should it be avoided too?
I have been having fever, sometimes, internal fever. It goes down when I take paracetamol. What else do I do?

first of all congratulations . Then for first trimester and someone that TTCed just avoid all avoidables especially those listed by momsie she is a sabi mama. Then that sex thing also happened to me but not 3 times a day sha Please tell hubby to clam down small. If possible visit your doctor with him let him hear it from doctors mouth. He needs to slow down. I don't know why once you tell them the news the next thing n.a. to dey hump dey go . I took and still use scent leaf but sparingly in my yam pottage, egusi and indomie Just to get a whiff of it. You can switch from the teas to Milo for now then go back to the teas (Lipton) much later in 2nd trimester. You can take your pineapple in moderation but it must be very ripe and not the core(hard part). As for the bloating and internal heat all n.a. part of the pregnancy package sowie dear. PLS stop taking that paracetamol for how long will you take it.? I know hubby used to tell me then that "babe you have malaria your body is too hot and you were sweating under AC at night". Just relax enjoy the ride do all things moderately God is in charge. All the best.

It was God in heaven that saved me when i newly took in wt those nausea wahala i wanted to be doing peppersoup to help me only for my aunt to call nd say NEVER EVER near outside prepared peppersoup cos of some ingredient like dat(she didnt know d name). I don't know if it has another name o. I only know it as uda. People who sell outside usually mix it in their spices and our mothers use if for omugwo. But you can prepare your pepper soup without it and still enjoy it wella or if you have a trusted source that you can buy from, fine. When I just took in, my Gynae warned me to stay away from Pepper soup, Nkwobi prepared from sources I'm not sure of and also too much potash i. e akanwu. Funny enough, I know people who buy pepper soup outside and nothing happens to them. My dear, body differs.

@peggygee, how far? Has baby landed? Hope you are holding on fine. Easy peasy delivery to you.

@heavenlychy, you are welcome. Just eat right, healthy foods, fruits and vegetables. Stay away from junk. Bump has nothing to do with baby size. Some people have small bumps and yet give birth to big babies while some big bumps contain small babies. Just eat right.

Your bump size is not always proportional to foetal weight o.
My belly is usually very big that Drs always underline and emphasize on foetal weight in my scan request form .
My babies were 3.1 and 3.2 for the first and second respectively whereas those with waaaaay smaller bumps were birthing 3.5kg.

Cappo @Anugod you are not alone in the stretchmark business oo I have them on my stomach even tho I have been applying coconut oil from the onset but ayam not bothered after all I no go open belle dey waka but it's not very obvious as I yellow well well (blacky lol) so it's all good.
