there is a difference. if your charged to court then the court sets a bail fee for you to pay and you must pay it, but if you are not charged to court and the police demand you to pay bail for them to release you then that is extortion.

Nnamdi Kanu pay a certain amount

He brings 2 Sureties that are also to pay in like sum (as prescribed for Kanu) etc...

All 3 of them pay certain amounts to effect Kanu's bail.

@Topic: Irrespective of his brash words, Kanu is right. Bail is legally free in the Police custody and not paid for. Any payment made is simply extortion. Police is not a revenue generating organization.
