The best Formation for Eagles is either 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3. The other Formation we can play with this present Squad is 4-4-2. 2 Likes |

Kog45: Why do we want Shehu out of the first XI for goodness sake?! What Crime did he commit?! Aina is comfortable also as a LB, but we ain't talking about him replacing Echiejile. Why?! Shehu is solid offensively as well as defensively for the Team. He's covering his Position excellently but Aina that has not represented Eagles at any Level must replace him?! 3 Likes |

I like the way that Nigeria plays better against strong teams, especially against the “oyinbos" like the european teams. Now that the team are in a good position to qualify, NFF should start making plans to quickly book grade A friendlies. 5 Likes 1 Share |

blueto:Nice post, honestly we are always sentimental when it comes to some players and we need to stop this,Iheanacho received a lot of knocks for below performance against South Africa and even against Algeria but Iwobi is always spare from criticism now some are suggesting Iwobi should walk straight into starting line up as AM and Mikel move to CM. We need to ask ourselves one simple question, has Iwobi live up to his rating in Super Eagles colours, apart from Zambia match can anybody tell me any other match but telling us Iwobi is playing out of position to justify him is uncalled for Mikel does it as a DM,CM,AM for Chelsea and Nigeria for years,Shehu a midfielder is doing well as RB,Moses is doing it differently for Chelsea and Nigeria,Alaba a LB at Bayern Munich but has to do it in d middle for Austria. Iwobi was even lucky that he is having d same role in d national team and his club.No doubt Iwobi is a talent but he need to prove to us he is ready to take up d challenges 1 Like |

the partnership of Ekong and Balogun seem very solid and very difficult to penetrate, I'm just thinking what happens when we have an inform Vincent Eyeama in goal and a competent left back to replace Echiegile? 2 Likes |

krattoss:Exactly, Zambia have a goal difference of 1, so a loss for them today by a goal margin of 1 will leave them with a goal difference of 0 , so for them to qualify they will have to score not less than 8 goals in their remaining two matches not forgetting that one of those two matches is against the Super Eagles. 3 Likes |

Oasis007: So, a 4-2-3-1 would look like: ----Shehu----Ekong---Balogun---Aina---- ---------------Onazi---Ndidi-------------- --------------------Mikel---------------- ------------V. Moses---Iwobi(Iheanacho)------- -----------------Ighalo (Kayode)----------- |

Joebie:Some players have that dynamism, some don't. Doesn't mean players don't have their strong playing positions. And it doesn't mean that they are worse for it. Why you no go play Ronaldo as a left winger? I understand that modern football requires that dynamism but it should be done when the players are young. And that's the advantage European players coming out of academies have. Our players learn their stuff themselves and then when they've been wired to play one way, they go abroad and the coaches begin to improvise on them. Most plants can grow and thrive when transplanted when they are still tender but most will wither and die if done when they are a bit grown. That some survive is no basis for applauding such late transplantation. |

PDPGuy: Aina is untested at the International Level, hence I can't give him a Nod ahead of Echiejile. He has not even earned his Debut yet, perhaps we gonna see him play during the Friendly Matches before the Tournament. Until he plays and we see his Performances as either a RB or a LB, he shouldn't be promoted to the starting XI yet. Also, we don't need to forcefully inject Iheanacho or Iwobi in the starting XI. Simeon Moses is still the most preferred on the LW by the Coach. We need pace on the Wings which I believe gives S. Moses an Edge ahead of Iheanacho or Iwobi. Besides, Iheanacho is better as a SS or a ST, playing him on the Wing would limit his Impact on the Pitch. Iwobi can play as LW, but I still prefer S. Moses ahead of him for now. Note: both Moses are Comfortable on the either Wings which makes it easier for them to swap Positions without causing a Hitch in the Setup. 2 Likes |

Oasis007:Pls read my comment very well and it's simple to understand. I said if not for late switched Aina w walk straight into first XI,does that mean i condemn Shehu or his performance, for now it w take a solid performance from Aina to bench Shehu and Shehu too must keep on working hard. On issue has he represent Eagles before for him to bench Shehu.Pls when u see talent u don't care whether he has represent his country before or not, whereas we are all complaining about our RB and LB before Shehu superlative performance against Cameroon. Mind u i don't see Aina sitting on d bench for so long coz he has everything to break into first XI either as RB or LB. |

Kog45: Can you pls expatiate on the bold parts?! Who is he really gonna replace in the Lineup..... Shehu or Echiejile?! Also, what makes Aina better than the present Fullbacks in the Team?! Has he played at the International Level - Experience?! Can he withstand the Physicality of African Football?! Moreso.... you can't compare Club Football with International Football. You might be balling at the Club level but fail woefully when representing a Country. There are many cases there. |
