Wow, am thrilled to read ths story from his children. I had in the past read stories of the Biafra war and was made to believe that he(banjo) was a traitor. It's always good to hear two sides of o story......it quite unfortunate that such a brave, courageous leader was executed in such a manner |

Re: Victor Banjo's Children Speak 50 Years After His Demise by Osyabj: 9:15pm On Sep 05, 2017 |
Sopigtit: Of course its Biafran Oil. 100% of all the oil fields were in then Biafran territory or old Eastern Region plus the Igbo Northern Delta. In fact but for their british puppet masters advice that they could not survive without the oil from the Eastern Region, the North would have seceeded. Get this thru your afonja skull. Their is no region called Niger Delta. 100% of the oil producing delta region are with Eastern Region, otherwise called Biafra. Had Ojukwu and his advisers listened to counsel and morgaged the Biafran oil to a country like China, in exchange for weapons, the Biafran troops would have destroyed the Nigerian side within 6 months. 1 Like |

Opakan2: What baffles me is why are people so scared about biafran actualization? If the igbo's have nothing to gain in biafra actualization, I think it is in the best interest of Nigeria to help them leave so that resources available will be enough for remaining Nigerians. Just saying from common sense. 2 Likes |

Osyabj: Please stop. Eastern region is not Biafra land. How many times have the Niger Deltans rejected your attachee-by-force something? The Niger Deltans said they don't want a new master. And if Biafra is declared today, they will have to decide where they will belong. It's not by force o. Now, focus on the oil in the landlocked South East. Only Abia and Imo currently has oil in commercial quantity. Unfortunately for you, oil production and reserve from both states combined is less than half of Ondo state. 2 Likes 1 Share |

oluwaahmed: Guy you understood what happened at benin...banjo literally sabotaged ojukwu's effort to get money from CBN benin which would have fortified his troops towards advancing to Lagos. I think he (ojukwu) chose the wrong guy (banjo) for that assignment. Banjo had his own plan. |

Osyabj: All those epistles in an attempt to re-write history? What stopped Odumegwu Ojukwu from taking the fight to the enemy by himself? The coward "trusted" his friend to do that. After Banjo was cowardly murdered by Ojukwu, one would expect him to them take the fight to Dodan Baracks himself, the enemies headquarters. But he didn't. When the battle got too hot for Ojukwu, with Benjamin Adekunle (aka the scorpion) on a perpetual slaughter of the hungry and demoralised Biafra soldiers, the coward abandoned his men and flee to Abidjan with tails between his legs. 3 Likes 1 Share |

laliga01:Well, the Benin branch of the CBN was indeed looted; even though Banjo refused to. This (amongst others) basically proved that Ojukwu planted a group within Banjo's forces whose role was to take direct commands from Ojukwu himself; and also spy or even worse (maliciously) implicate Banjo with trumped up transgressions. The curious part of your post was the assumption that any money from CBN would've been used by Banjo to purchase weapons. From where and how? On the way to Lagos? Stop by at the Gun shop in Ore and buy weapons? The money was to be shipped back to Enugu which was exactly what happened. But guess what, the money was rendered useless by a brilliant and tactical move when the FG switched the currency color. 7 Likes |

Sopigtit: Ondo oil ke? There is no oil in yoruba part of Ondo. The ota gorrilla apprpriated Eastern Region tribe of Ijaw oil fields into Ondo. When the Niger Delta militants gave the notice to Yoruba to leave, that included the Eastern Region Ijaw oil fileds temporarily located ondo. Further, you illiterate, uncircumcized, smelly yoruba muslims, who have never left Oshogbo, sttill can not understand that, first Biafra is NOT Igbo and Igbo is NOT Biafra. Get this thru your afonja skull, the old Eastern Region or Biafra was made of Ijos (Ijaws) , Efik-Ogoja, Ibibio and Igbo and smaller tribes like Urobo, etc. Here is the shocker for you divide and exploit yoruba muslims, upwards of 70% of the fake creation called SS or Niger Delta is Igbo SOIL for ever and ever. More than 60% of Delta State Soil and their Governor, Ifeanyi is 100% Igbo. Over 90% of Rivers State and virtually all their governors including, Peter Odilichukwu, Omehia, Chukwubike Amaechi, Nwike, etc are all Igbos despite British divide and suck oil after the British/Biafra war, when the British converted every Igbo village in Rivers into a new "tribe" called "ikwerre, Ndoni, Ogba, Egbema, Ndoki, etc. They are all Igbosm including Opobo and Bonny Islands. Moreover, look carefully at the map of Rivers State, the pan handle is Obigbo and Egbema. These two Igbo clans alone has majority of the oil fields in Rivers state, but the britich carved them into Rivers instead of Abia, so as to say that Abia and Imo do not produce oil in large quantity. Bottomline, for those afonja trying to divide and suck Biafran oil, just ask Asari, and Ijo man where Biafra begins and ends. Just google Asari in youtube now and get the answers. So Igbos cannot attach themselves to fellow Igbos in the fake creation called SS or Nigeri Delta. The Eastern Region or Biafra is the most homogenous region in Nigeria with 99% Christians and virtually the same language and culture. So Afonja divide and suck Biafran oil deal with it, Anuofia! 2 Likes |

logica:Well, those are part of the smart moves from awolowo. Gowon is just a military man, they believe in force but awo was not. The truth is gowon forces alone were not enough to outsmart ojukwu's forces. Awolowo was the difference in the battle and why the battle didn't go beyond what it was. Back to your question, soldiers on battle field don't do purchase n paper works. |

Osyabj: Could you please type that in English? Anyway, I saw "Ijaw oil". No part of Ondo speak Ijaw if you must know. What then makes the oil there "Ijaw oil"? Moreover, that does not erase the fact that oil from the whole of South East region is less than half of the oulf from Ondo. Nor the fact that south east is landlocked, most of its soils are mud and barren. Without attachee to South South region, you and I know Biafra is doomed before it even begins. 2 Likes |

laliga01:Awolowo was to meet with Ojukwu the same period (and just before) Ojukwu without consultation decided to strike Lagos; forcing a hurried cancellation. And at that time, Awolowo was more favorably disposed towards the Biafrans than neutral as he had not yet accepted to work for the FG. |

Sopigtit: Fact is that the oil producing part of ondo remains ijaw land for ever and ever. Further, though Igbo is NOT biafra and Biafra is NOT Igbo. Igbo land stretches uninterruptedly from southern Benue to Atlantic Ocean islands of Opobo and Bonny, the British divide and conquer the Igbo nation after the British/Biafra war notwithstanding. So try to divide the Igbo nation into one thousand pieces to suck Igbo oil and claim that Igboland is landlocked, you are only deluding yourself. Not an inch of Igbo soil will be ceded to afonja and Arewa parasites, whether in Rivers, Eastern Edo, Kogi, Benue and every so called SS state. But not to worry the Eastern Region knows we are united and hence the counter quit noice to Afonjas and Arewas to leave the delta area of Eastern Region. 1 Like |

logica:Well, there are some hidden info we dnt know about, only those concerned know Whatz on their mind. But what I am sure is that, gowon himself fail to release awolowo from prison but Ojukwu released him from calabar prison with the agreement that once he declear biafra, awolowo will declear Republic of oduduwa in lagos. This was their ultimate agreement b4 awo was released. |
