Ronaldo won the WPOTY in 1996.
Zizou in 2003.

Those weren't world cup or copa years for both involved.

Ronaldo's debut season at Barcelona was something else, better in terms of output than anything Ronaldinho achieved as far as the eye can see.

The main thing I would say goes for Dinho is the fact that he could be said to have played with less illustrious teammates than Zizou and Ronaldo to achieve whatever he did.
