Anyone go this or knows what the simulation assessment test is all about?
Its an assessment to test how you will react or tackle issues in real life

I had once did this test around 2013 I think when I applied for a job in Union bank. we were invited to Abuja where Dragnet centre is located. the centre is very beautiful and attractive. everything inside is white in colour including the computers that were connected to a one single giant computer. In fact I have never seen a sophisticated modern ICT centre like dragnet. coming to your question Simulation test is a type of programmed computerized objective test where questions are appearing on the screed and disappear in few seconds (30seconds maximum) whether your answer it or not it will disappear as soon as as it allocated second elapse. The test itself is divided into 3: Numeric, Logic and ENGLISH I think so if dont forget.

Please look at my signature and help me out

I got this off LinkedIn. Gives us a look into what's happening at MTN now. Though that no mean say na all of us dem go employ o! Lol

You've applied to a position that's been posted and you're wondering what is taking the recruiter so long? Here's just a snapshot of what's happening in the background:
1. 150 people applied to that job posting on Indeed.
2. Another 100 applied via the posting on LinkedIn.
3. 50 applied via the company's career portal
4. 2 people have applied internally
5. 2 people have been referred by employees
6. The recruiter has reached out to 60 people and responses are coming in daily.
If it takes the recruiter at least 10 seconds to scan each resume (sometimes much less if the applicant is overseas or even out of province) imagine the time consumption.

Now imagine that said recruiter is working on 10 or maybe even 40 roles at the same time. They're also pre-screening, phone interviewing and sometimes interviewing in person. Add to that, working with the hiring manager to schedule interviews up the food chain for additional meetings.

On top of that, recruiters can be overseeing a wide range of projects - on-campus recruitment, branding efforts, etc. So while I'm extremely sensitive to how candidates feel during the process, I do think there needs to be a bit of a reality check re what a Recruiter's reality looks like as well.

Doesn't work that way any more... That's why they contracted the screening and shortlisting process to Dragnet.. Dragnet helps them with the preliminary screening, and gives the names of not suitable candidates to them.. They can then drill further from there, they will be searching for competence, cultural fit and minimum requirements. It might be a lot, but that's not a sound excuse to keep people in the dark, don't you think?.. You may decide to get back to candidate maybe twice a week to tell them that you are still reviewing the process and how long it might take..

But the truth is, since I've worked in recruitment before, this is how its often done,
1) Get a pool of suitable candidates and classify them , in the case by performance, experience etc.
2) Begin to screen the top on your list, while you keep the other pending
3) if the top guys don't meet up, begin with the next list of most fit persons in your list, while you keep the rest on hold.
4) should you find the person you need for the job, then give him an offer, once he accepts it.
5) that's when you send out a mail to the rest of the list telling them they didn't make it.

It will be dump to think that screening exercise aren't going on

Hmmm...thats a nice insight. However from my experience and this e of other people I know...very few recruiters actually get back to candidates to let them know that they were not successful. Most recruiters in Nigeria just ignore the other candidates once they get who they want. I actually thing that practice is unprofessional. People took out time to apply etc and the least the recruiters could do is send them an email..even if it's generic to tell them they weren't successful. Why keep people hanging.
Anyways let's keep watching sha.

It's been slightly over 2 months now that they started this process so I'm guessing they have finished or maybe about to finish.

People should just keep working their current jobs or if they don't have any presently they should keep applying elsewhere. If MTN call then they call..if not ..life goes on. Lol.

Cheers.

I think Dragnet has concluded their part of the recruitment project.

They have sorted their list and have passed on successful candidates to MTN. In fact a lot of persons have been interviewed already for several roles and waiting for MTN's final verdict.

......If you had your simulation test on the the 8th July, Chances are very high that interviews have been conducted already. I know persons that had their Simulations test on this date that had been interviewed by MTN in their Ikoyi Office already.

They call me aand ask me similar question too but since then i have not head anything

My brother let hope for the best, i actually applied for Account Partners, Enterprise Sales. Lagos, Akure and North East. The MTN lady called me on my preferred location and i said Lagos, she said if there is no space in Lagos , do i prefer Akure and i said yes. since then i have not heard anything. To me for MTN to call me at all, my name must have been submitted to them. i am still very hopeful , the positions are quite many so no one can say precisely the batch they are working on. let be optimistic and prayerful.

Chai. My simulation test was no the 12th of July o.
Haven't heard anything from Dragnet or MTN. A nairalander here says his friend see has been interviewed for that role or a similar role.
My issue is this...if they have selected their preferred candidate they should try and inform the people that are not successful so they would not keep hoping.
Anyways my mind no dey there again. If it happens it happens.
