Odunayaw:My 2 kobo Na condition wey make crayfish bend... with pirates/oil bunkers in the gulf of guinea and Islamist terrorists in the lake chad region we actually have no choice than to work closely with other ECOWAS nations. •Joint naval patrols. •Our men already fight side by side with Cameroon’s soldiers. •Numerous interventions and peacekeeping mission. The swift EVOWAS response in The Gambia with 3 major players (Senegal, Nigeria and Ghana) shows that we sure can work together, the defense pacts have been signed decades ago, now what we need focus on is building permanent structures (commands structure, bases, joint training and focus on cross compatibility) Problem is how do we convince these tight handed francophone countries to spend money (which is largely controlled by big papa France) on something that is against French interest. |

jakeporeshenko:Serious something I tell you. The Francofooled boys? Ah! Ifa and other deities would be needed to reset their psychology That's why I say our sh1t must be gotten together.. As per egbon we should be able to pull our weight on those fellas. I hate to see unilateral or better still few countries stepping forward when things go ape sh1t. I would like a collective ECOWAS approach to the security issues in the sub region |

ActivateKruger:Forgot to add the context, Wear and tear of war I guess. Those are frontline soldiers fighting BH. In other news, with deployment of soldiers and mechanised hardware to the SE, I hope rules of engagement are properly drilled down. Mishaps may scuttle any recently approved arms deal with the Americans. |

frumentius: Why not combine the Naval commands in cape town? Best naval dockyards* infastructure in SADAC (probably in S.S.A) Best comms infastructure in S.S.A at silvermine and the fact that it straddles the Atlantic and Indian means that it would allow more flexibility *naval dockyard infastructure, human capital has been seriously degraded though (nothing that funneling in all the skills in SADAC couldent fix though) |

jakeporeshenko:JANS is the name given to the BH faction headed by Shekau I confirmed the ARMY'S claims independently 5 of Shekau's top commanders have been INDEED BEEN killed because Shekau confirmed it noticeably did he not produce a single one of them in his video/ rant. The Army is also claiming two more of his commanders became fertilizer products on Monday. IMHO The Military hierarchy must not relent in completely eradicating the core leadership of Shekau's leadership faction and in the process go for Shekau. 1 Like |
