MI na boss, because of mI I became more interested in 9jq rap music. His song cuts across every age or gender. Usually you won't find girls listening to rap, but with M.I girls too became interested in rap.

Look at Olamide, started with eni-duro and I was like damn this dude is on fire even tho I barely hear Yoruba.

same with Phyno but now all they do is singing.

They sing not because its what people want like they always say in interview. They sing because its the easier option. Its hard to always drop bars that are tight in your tracks or tracks that have you featured in.

They have experienced the writers block writing raps and so resorted to singing. For me Olamide for example cannot be classified as a rapper. Out of 5songs he releases just one is a pure rap
