Does PTDF OSS cover any schools in the US or does it have specific schools that one can apply to for Ph.D.?

Congrats to every one who made the list, I believe you all deserve to be shortlisted.For everyone (including me) who couldn't make the cut, I hope we all learn from this experience and become better persons (atleast practice the new vocabularies you have learnt). I will be back next year not to just congratulate people but to be congratulated.

I guess you didnt defer it. If you had requested a deferral, you wont need to do the full application procedure.

In any case, I suggest you send them an email. Tell them you have funding and im sure they can re-issue that offer but with a different date. You should also mail your supervisor (assuming it is for PhD).

Well, you would need to get that sponsor letter if so. And they can re-issue in a matter of hours.

But for now, do them another email. Tell them you have been shortlisted for funding but may lose out if you don't have a valid offer Of admission.

They (Manchester) typically don't give conditional offers based on funds availability to the best of my knowledge. They give unconditional if you meet the requirements. They are probably insisting since that's the basis they want to use to waive the re-application procedure for you, and they want to be sure.

However, at the very least, tell them to give you a conditional offer with funds availability as the only condition left for you to fulfill.

Do the first suggestion first and if they still refuse. Do the second. But emphasize that you need the letter or you may lose out.

Still, as long as you have the 2016 offer, I believe PTDF would give you your sponsor letter. So you'll still get sorted out.

I got more than one acquaintance on that list, they knew nobody, they made the list, I believe there's a very high level of transparency, PTDF deserves the thumbs up,
