In anything you do or are about to do which should be the case, please always carry out proper research before embarking. Don't be half way into a thing and start asking beginners questions, it's mandatory of an applicant to send a cover letter alongside his/her CV failure to do so portrays one as un serious and not well prepared which 10 out of 10 times leads to disqualification.
