I don't think this is right. I think Cochtrane is right. Whether you are married or not, once the father is named on the birth certificate, his approval/consent will likely be required except if you have full custody and a letter from a court stating that you are free to move with the child to another country miminice: 2 Likes |

Good morning peeps. Please I want to ask, my husband's transcript is a bit slow, is it possible to create an EE profile with both our IELTS and my WES, then edit it when his WES verification is out or should I just wait till his WES comes out. I need your experienced counsel pls. Thanks |

tollu: A slice of sarcasm before 9am.. how sweet. You do realize that there are over 900 pages in both threads (not that I'm counting ) and I'm yet to find a poster whose situation is SPECIFIC to mine. And yes, I have been reading from Zandora's post in 2015. Now I understand that as a student, one may be eligible at the conclusion of his course to remain in Canada after meeting certain immigration requirements but this route would most likely require him to quit his job while he is studying (which he is skeptical about). That said, I wish to ask the seniors if undertaking a new course is the only option available to him (considering his 5 year student visa) and would love feedback on other possible alternatives. Thank you |

MsDenise:Mrs Denise, please don't take it personal. Tollu gave you the much information you can get based on your initial post. Truly, the visa your husband has will play very little role in the EE journey that's even if it will play any at all. Go through the link Tollu posted and work the permutations. We don't even know your age nor Ogas age to be able to properly advice you. Several other factors still comes to play - your IELTS score, sibling(s) in canada among others. 1 Like |

MsDenise: Chill ma'am, no vex for tollu. Now you specifically stated that he has a multiple entry visa and not a student visa if I'm right and I assume his short courses are less than 6 months which is the only (?) condition someone can study in Canada without the need for a student visa which case he would be unable to assess it as Canadian experience. Minimum length of program (I think) which is assessable is a certificate which lasts for 8 months minimum. I assume this job he has to quit is not a job in Canada but back home wherever that may be. Unfortunately as tollu mentioned, his situation sic visa has no bearing on your PR ambitions and you would be honestly better starting from scratch. Hope I've helped. Further questions are welcome. 1 Like |

lovetree:It's very possible to create your EE profile without his ECA. I'd assume here that you are the PA, if yes, simple select no when asked if you have ECA for his degree. If your CRS is high enough to get you ITA, you Though unsolicited, have you tried doing something about his transcript rather than just waiting on the school. 1 Like 1 Share |

Yooku: Thanks for responding and clarifying Yooku. He has a 5 year student visa which he used for a One month course in Canada ( I acknowledge the 8 month program stipulation as mentioned above). We are aware that a 5 student year visa doesn't categorize as a requirement for EE but we were hoping to use it to our advantage somehow... The 'somehow' is the million Canadian dollar question we are trying to figure out. |

Lovetree. Get his ECA sorted. WES evaluation can be unnecessarily delayed by his institution you know! I will strongly advice you not to rush in on this for a seamless entry. It all boils down to if you can muscle in all the point required. Your submission is not a problem idea though 1 Like |

Kontagious: Thanks Kontagious... we are just trying to figure out how to use the 5 year student visa to our advantage with a goal at immigrating Canada (without him quitting his job to study). #OliverTwist |

Cannie:If she is the PA and her point is above 420 without spouse's education, I think she should create the profile since she already has her ECA and IELTS. If however her husband is the PA, then she (they) have to wait (and a very long wait at that) for the ECA. cc: Lovetree 1 Like |

Kontagious. You are very on point on this. I am only saying there is no point swimming in the pool while the hook will take months to source you; while you could dive in at a more appropriate time and be selected in no time when you have all in your arsenal. No be the first fish wey dive in go get ITA first o 1 Like |

Cannie:I get your point, some of us are lucky to have armed robber CRS while some are not so lucky. Remember someone recently shared his experience how he got ITA with the 415 or 413 draw, you just cannot tell what the next draw will be. You don't want to miss that opportunity when it comes. cc;kontagious cc;cannie Thanks for your response guys. Yes I'm the PA, score without hubby's WES is 426, while its 436 with his WES, that's using the CRS tool provided. His School transcript is a lil bit slow thus the confusion on whether to apply once my WES is ready or just wait for his as well. Thanks |
