Interesting performance by Solanke even though he came into the game when his team was in a disadvantage position. His marking was brilliant. Tracked play looking for room to exploit. Strong and skillful on the ball, the few times he had the chance. Also very calculative. Looks a player that needs to play in a possessive system because he looks a nice passer. Lost the ball a few times but that was due to the lack of numerical balance. 1 Like |

Very interesting City game and a highlight of what Rohr wants for the Super Eagles team. Flexible in adapting to different formations as City switched formation and personnel. Most notably was Danillo who started of as a central defender and later moved into the holding midfield role. Keep in mind that Danillo played the left back role when Mendy was injured and the right back role when Carl Walker was suspended. Another big highlight was Sane moving into the Support striking role to replace Gabby Jesus. He was still able to put in a brilliant performance. Last game Sterling had an okay support striking role. For our players to adopt to the vision of Rohr and the modern demand from players, they need to adopt the philosophy of adapting to different roles and style. 1 Like |

Balogun starts for Mainz.. I do not know whether to feel happy about that given his injury record. The more he plays, the better. Hopefully, he maintains his fitness till the Zambia game and beyond. 3 Likes |

Leicester City playing with more bravery against Chelsea. Looking better than their last few games. However, I feel Iheanacho would have been a better partner for Vardy. Vardy hit a good ball across the goal but Slimani was slow to arrive the danger spot. |

That's definitely one change I would like to see Rohr make to the team that started against Cameroun - swap Moses Simon for Oghenekaro Etebo. Yes, Simon had a good game but Etebo would give us more in that position. First, he can track back better and provides defensive cover, plus he can provide better end products (goals and assists) compared to Simon. Mark my word! O pari libero808: |

Picture clearer. Slimani is to hold up play for Vardy. Made a nice lay-off to Mahrez. Ndidi looking brilliant so far. Marking well, winning balls and made some distributions. 1 Like |

forgiveness: A very annoying read. The writer tried as much as he can to write off Abraham's Nigerian heritage. Even going further to reduce visiting Nigeria as a nothing more than emotional vacation. The same Tammy will be tagged a Nigerian by this same writer if he was nabbed with drugs or arrested for murder. Just like they the headline from dailymail read "Nigerian Anthony Joshua arrested with Marijuana" , but when he won the heavy weight world title the same daily mail ran with the headline " British boxer Anthony Joshua wins world title". I am not the type who will suggest going cap in hand to beg a dual national to play for us but where do we draw the line when the issue of nationality is raised? This same British rags were quick to tag Adebowale and Adebojo the Woolwich killers as "Nigerians" when these guys haven't visited Africa before. If they come good, they are definitely English but if they are criminals, they are Nigerians. It's very painful watching hacks like this writer reduce blogging to to this. 6 Likes |

Moses should learn to cross more. Morata thrives off crosses and from what I hear, zapacosta is a damn good crosser. 1 Like |

Morata explains why I am against stopping players from coming into leagues. You can see Cristiano Ronaldo rubbed on Morata. His body movement and style looks so much like Ronaldo. The Chinese should learn from these. Also, a player can keep improving without regular playing time. As long as the player keeps working hard and studying exceptional players. I will like to see Shakespeare's response to a goal down. He has to give Nacho a chance to work with Vardy. |

As for our foreign born/dual nationality players. Anyone who wants to wait for England should he left alone. If the player later feels like representing the country, if he will play with all his heart and contribute to the growth of the team, he should also be given a chance. Anyone that fits the bill and is ready to play deserves a call up. |

tbaba1234: Are you sure? I want to see him play in one of our matches in the qualifiers but definitely not against Zambia. Tiago Ilori Felix Uduokhai and Brain Idowu should be given the chance to slug it out with them. Jordan Torunarigha should be given a chance on the LB position. All these should be done after we have qualified for the world cup. |

samtol4: Abi ooo. Most of those players just wanna use Nigeria as a dumping ground.. Leon Balogun said in his recent interview that he would not have agreed to play for Nigeria if Germany had approached him first.. The NFF should channel more money and energy into developing our home grown talents rather than chasing foreign born players.. We nerd players who aren't just talented but also dedicated to the national team.. Opari(in sir Icon79 voice ) |

forgiveness: To put it simply Tiago is not good enough. I have watched him up close and personal over three years, in matches and in training. He was at Liverpool for three years and didnt play any serious game. Possibly played 2/3 games at most. He went to Reading last season to date he hasn't played more than 10 games. He is not as good as Dominic Iorfa who is mainly a right back. My view he hasn't been able to deal with the physicality and speed of the EPL and or the Championship. |
