I was once a church loving boy. I could participate in all activities in church(An altar server,Chorister,a legionary and an Usher) and yes everyone loved me. The zeal to attend church programmes was there and i always loved to be in the midst of believers and i can say i loved God.
But as time went,I noticed all these were/are no longer there, i now believe science more and i now think science has an explanation for everything that happens. I no longer hold the things of God with esteem. I think i no longer believe in what God can do, and to be sincere i am very sad about this. I don't know what to do as i am losing it. I don't want to become an atheist,in fact i don't like atheism. I know there is a true God but it seems a force is pulling me back and wanting to give up my faith. The faith i have known for long, the faith i have believed. What can i do please. I don't want to become an atheist.
Ps--No offense to atheists in here

He doesnt want you to be asking God for forgiveness any longer. So that one day, your soul departs from God

Probably you have been practicing religion and thinking that you are a christian.

Christianity is a Relationship with the Father and not a religion. You will need to speak to your Father in Heaven for help.

You shall not neglect the fellowship of one another is a command you have probably broken many times. God knows that Iron Sharpens Iron says the Scripture. When we fellowship together, we encourage one another because every christian can get spiritually tired.

Look for a church where you can hear the word of God and no matter what don't stop going to church.
Get Christian messages and listen to them you need to pump yourself with knowledge of Gods word. The bible says faith cometh by hearing and hearing the word of God.

my dear, try to understand this fact. science and religion are human made. none of them can explain all you want or need. it is ultimately base on human belief and by definition, it is incomplete . so just enjoy learning and keep using your brain until the day you die.

my advice for you. keep loving your imaginary friend(God) like I do. it check sinful act and balance good moral

I was once like you as a young man. This is because I love science. But one thing jolted me back to my senses; and that is my unique experience of holy ghost baptism. It was my deep personal conviction. So I guest your experience is as a result of lack
of personal encounter with raw power of God.

I think you need to go to a vibrant church probably a charismatic church where your spirit would be active once again.

The truth is, you have read so much of science and other things concerning the creation, probably you are the type that jump on every athiest thread and you want to verify everything.

Get a charismatic church and be faithful there

One thing is, as a Christian, some realities should be abiding and oozing out of you, see, Christianity is not real until you experience what's in this thread, even if you are this or that, you need to be filled with the Holy Ghost, Paul said to the Romans that they had zeal but not according to knowledge Romans 10

i think u jst have to get closer to God personally i.e having a personal relationship with God.,after that,anything they teaches or preach in church will jst be a bonus to you,so dnt change church yet,discover yourself first,then if the church is nt getting u closer to God,then u can make a change,for now u can join a group or meeting in ur church that will make u grow more in faith and bring you closer to God...wishing you the best
