All these one season NPFL strikers.

Next thing now na to go Romanian 3rd division and you won't hear of him again.

Congrats to him all the same.He should enjoy the moment.

He has scored over 50 career goals in the NPFL. That's not a one season striker.

That's pretty good for him. Hopefully he's going to get more playing time at VVV Venlo. He looks more promising than his elder brother from my own perspective.

you didn't follow the discussion. It all stemmed from the final league table.

I had suggested a better way to find the true champions. The old super 4 did just that.
Think the Jupiler league format, that groups I think the top 6 teams, and they play against themselves all over again.

My point is, our league is a wasted exercise with the table looking like that.

Who say we no go dominate Africa for at least the next decade? I think we have what it takes, unless we do anyhow.

If i didn't follow the discussion how will i make the comment.

I only make a statement om what was used to replaced the old Super-4 league.

Is that a crime.

If you say you are sugesting a better way of knowing the true champion, thats better. But you need to go back and re-read your reply again.

He has been benching this Black Stars midfielder, Afiriye Acquah. In fact two of them be like twin brothers they have been teammates from one club to another.

context my brother.. The Super 4 league then decided the champions.

Let's not argue over nothing.. you are free to say anything really

Modified.
You didn't start from the beginning of the convo, going by your snapshots.

I'm not disputing the fact that Chidiebere is not a fantastic player but I see more promising career in Kelechi...
Nonetheless, anything can happen...

Kelechi at the moment is more promising. Already playing at a higher level than Chidi. Has shown progression from second division to now playing in the eredivise. Chidi is spending a second season in Norway, should have moved up.

What a way to make an entrance into the top flight.... I have always rooted for this kid to step up and explode. He is the future of our midfield.... Don't let it get to your head Kelechi.... Keep doing it and tearing up The Eredivisie.... wink

yes apparently, comparing both leagues. Still no guarantees. Who know's where Chidi will be loaned to next year? Kayode is in Girona today. He was in lowly Austria last year. Both players are on loan anyway. My point remains it's too early to say.

okay make we leave matter. one is more promising at the moment.. no need for arguments.

I think they are both similar.
Simon tracks back as well.
Either will prove a perfect sub

Icon79:
That's definitely one change I would like to see Rohr make to the team that started against Cameroun - swap Moses Simon for Oghenekaro Etebo. Yes, Simon had a good game but Etebo would give us more in that position. First, he can track back better and provides defensive cover, plus he can provide better end products (goals and assists) compared to Simon. Mark my word!

VVV Venlo started with a 4-3-3 formation with Lennart Thy as the no.9 and Torino Hunte on the left as the LWF (or left AMF) and Tissoudali as the RWF/R.AMF...

Kelechi came on for the left footed Torino Hunte and slotted into an advanced midfield role behind Lennart Thy because Another midfielder called Opoku (in no.10) also came on for Tissoudali.... That made Venlo switch formation a bit from 4-3-3 to a kind of 4-5-1/4-2-3-1 and that saw K.Nwakali play further up the pitch behind the Point man, Thy... yes it was for 15 mins but this is the analysis I could deduct.

Are you saying if Cameroon had focused on exploiting our left back they won't have gotten a better result?
Time would tell if he is our best option there.

eterisan:
.
With the fore knowledge that shehu has been playing RB for us for like forever... I will comfortably tag him a right back... Well the interview only reiterates the fact that Aina and Tyrone are the options for LB n RB in the team.... My point is this bashing of ụwa should stop just because we have got a shiny new toy....

The SA game is still fresh in memory... Awaziem .. Anybody...... Hello...

Let's hypothetically say ụwa picks an injury that keeps him out for a year.... What will be your gut instinct... Guess it will be Ọ.. GOD.... not again... We lack real options at left back... We are banking on make shifts (kids) and we slate the only real option we have.... *sighs*... Naija... For warri we say at all at all na winch.. Mek we manage am abeg...

Nwakali Nets On Debut As VVV Venlo Set New Record For Nigerian Players

Nigeria U20 international Kelechi Nwakali came off the bench to rescue a point for VVV Venlo in their Dutch Eredivisie clash with FC Groningen at the Euroborg on Sunday evening.

The attacking midfielder came off the bench with 15 minutes left on the clock and the scoreboard reading 1-0 in favour of the home team, who took the lead through Mimoun Mahi with a quarter of an hour played.

VVV Venlo became the first Dutch Eredivisie club to have seven Nigerians play for the first team following the introduction of Kelechi Nwakali.

The Flying Eagles skipper came close to restoring parity for his team when he let fly from outside the area but it missed target on 85 minutes.

But he wasn't to be denied for long, scoring with a header in the first minute of stoppage time following an excellent delivery from Lennart Thy.

VVV Venlo are eighth in the standings with seven points in the kitty after four matches.

He has scored over 50 career goals in the NPFL. That's not a one season striker.

Over how many years?

And has his goals tally ever finished amongst the top 3 before this season?
