three times the tens digit of a 2 digit number is one less tham the units dogits. when the digits are interchanged the number is 17 less twice the original number. what is the original number?

check your question again.. I am getting negative fractions here.. seems there is a mistake in the question

...i actually think the question is wrong... However with a slight modification,after the interchange and increase in twice the original number, if you change 17 to 18, you would get an answer of 27.
