those states you mentioned are dried land, bayelsa is a swamping state. the cost of building bayelsa is more than the cost of building other states in not geria. imaging, construction of a 2 km road will consume more sand than constructing 7 km roads in these states you mentioned. building a has in bayelsa you need to raise your block by 5 before sand filling, you need to fill your land so has to prevent water from standing. always think before leap.

They should also demolish the mud house between Okutukutu and Opolo junction... Maybe the govt should help resettle the occupants... that house is an eye sore, a structure not befitting of a 21st Century state capital.
Different people has offer millions of naira to acquire that place but the owner said he is not selling cos the house is his his accestral home that belong to his late father and his brother doesn't want the place to be sold

So you believe this statement that our politicians are using to loot the state money or you just want to defend them for eating the crumb that fall from their table? It is the same terrain that Bayelsa State have that cut accross the whole Niger Delta, the same swampy soil that Bayelsa State have is the same swampy terrain Lagos, Rivers Delta and Edo have. Having a swampy terrain is not an excuse not to build roads and infrastructures, and it is not an excuse to loot the state fund and spend the remaining ones for family and cronies. Should our allocations and 13% be looted cos we have swampy terrain?

I don't think you have been in any other state in niger delta apart from bayelsa. so stop spreading rubbish. which state in Nigeria that raise road to to 4 meters?
check at melford okilo road, have you ever been to amassoma. can you compare inembe road with ugele or iron road? stop this man! I repeat, stop this.

I know of other states in the Niger Delta that road are filled to that level during construction, moreover terrain is not an excuse not to develop a state headquarter that is not up to a street in rivers state or lagos state

I ve been to akwaibom , oron to b precise, I never see such. There is no village in bayelsa( apart from the riverine community that need bridges) that did not have access to road despite the terrain, but you can't find that in many states with dry land.
I am from Opume community, all the community ( emakalakala, ekipilai ( except okoroba which the road is still under construction) all have access to the road. he cant concentrate all the resources on only the state capital, he also need to build the rural area.

Looking at that place I think it falls within the Melford Okilo Right of way so it will definitely be demolished whenever the govt is set to expand the road and the compensation will always be relative to the worth of the property demolished
