I will assume he is not as good as the current wingers. Or he can play better as a DMF than the rest at Yusuf's disposal. BascoVanVeli: |

Joebie: Yusuf doesn't employ wingers in his 4-4-2. He basically packs the midfield and the full backs play more like wingers. 1 Like |

Joebie: I don't rate the championship. I'm sorry to say this. As far as am concerned, players in the Championship don't cut it for me. I recall strikers like Gayle, Charlie Austin, Ince, bossing it in the Championship but stagnated when they stepped up to the Premiership. Its only on rare cases that you find the cherry drop like in the case of Delle Alli. Ultimately, Premier league clubs loan youngsters to championship teams to toughen them up. No wonder top managers like the idea of Premier league teams having their feeder teams play lower league football like it is done in Spain. I don't expect these names you listed to become household names in football in the foreseeable. The jury is still out on Tammy Abraham. 1 Like |

goldfish80:That's football for you. 90 minutes and then you'd know yourself. Upsets always happen and the SE have given football pretty good upsets. Doesn't matter how good a team is vis a vis the Super Eagles I always believe we will win. We can be defeated but my default position is to believe we will win. Even if we playing a combined squad of the best in the world I BELIEVE we will and can win. Let 90 minutes decide. So I align myself with Kog45. 3 Likes |

libero808: In 2009 he seemed exceptional youthful talent. Really suprised he returned to Nigeria I expected he could at least have gone to Turkey, Sweden, etc. On the other hand what is paid to youth players in the Segunda is slave wages. You could be on as little as €1500 a month in some cases less. It all depends on his agent he may have been manipulated and fleeced. In that circumstance return to Nigeria is much better. |

I love the fact that Iheanacho is not feeling too big to play with the U23's. Bright future ahead of the young man. |

goldfish80: Dele Alli came out MK Dons, just like Gomez @Liverpool fc, Lookman @Everton both from Charlton add to that Holegate and Smalling from Barnsley all of these are league 1 clubs. Dominic Lewis from Sheffield United to Everton. That's too mention a few. The two Crystal palace wingers came out of the Championship Zaha and Bolasie, arguably the best wingers in the Championship, add to that Michail Antonio West Ham, those are top quality players. Currently the best and most promising left back is Ryan Ssegnon he plays for Fulham current price over £30 million. Dembele at Celtic of which a bid of £50 million was refused from Chelsea, came out of the championship with Fulham. Oliver Burke left Nottingham forest for Liepzig in Germany. I disagree with you completely. The championship is better considerably better than the Turkish league and any other league rated below 10 in Europe. I would rate the championship higher than both the Dutch and Belgium leagues barring 2/3 top teams. Much higher than all the Nordic leagues for sure. Britt Asombolanga plays for Middlesbrough fc price £15 million, he rejected premiership offers. He is better than quite a few premiership strikers. |

BascoVanVeli: You have to look at in context. If you are on your own, then to rent a room in a house because you cannot afford an apartment, €400 a month, your bills €300 add living expenses and food and you are near broke. You certainly can not afford a car on that. Some even get less than that. Compare that to a youth player trainee in the championship about £ 400-500 a week. If on a pro. Contract could be quite easily on anything from £1k to £15k depending on club and potential. |

OK. That's good news. But we're sticking with Ikechukwu Ezenwa for the Zambia match. Akpeyi can sit on the bench. Ezenwa has earned his promotion with his performance against Cameroun. Compared with what we saw from Akpeyi against South Africa, Ezenwa is light years ahead. Literally! O pari Daninya11: 3 Likes |

Mickael2: Bigger players have also had feuds with their clubs over playing U23's. He just played the club's last match he had no reason to play for the U23's. This was his decision to play the extra match and work on his fitness and it should be encouraged. |

TheGoodJoe: Not everything is up for a debate. This is what I witnessed. Yes there was a similar pronouncement by Shagari in 1983 but how far that one was implemented I can't recall. But the one I can vividly give account of was the one pronounced by Buhari in May of 1985. They were given only one week to evacuate and the then military government went ahead to forcefully eject them. I am giving you an eye witness account and not Wikipedia. Did you even click this link: http://www.nytimes.com/1985/05/12/world/ghanaians-expelled-by-nigeria-return-home-to-start-over.html 1 Like |
