I uploaded my passport successful on the Ds 160 form but I can't see it on the confirmation page hope that's the way it is? Anybody with idea.
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by SantaRantty: 11:32am On Sep 13, 2017
It is compulsory that it must be on your Ds-160, if not you will be turned back
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by SantaRantty: 11:35am On Sep 13, 2017
The same thing happened to my husband and I on the 1st of August and we were turned back to reschedule our appointment. It's very easy, just go back to the page and follow the procedure on how to reschedule your appointment. And also make sure you upload your picture. Good luck

Come let us reason together....
This NYSC that by law runs for one year and you do not have any leave.... This NYSC that means so much to you that you are willing to leave it for vacation in the US. ....
If you are the VO which weight will you attach to this NYSC?

@luxx your question is basically... Can I visit Lagos Nigeria then from Lagos pop into to imezi owa in Enugu then later to obudu in Cross River state?
Can you afford it? If yes. Is there anyone that will stop you at Ore when you are leaving lagos? Is it a crime? The answer to both is No.
So yes during your interview and in your day 160 you can outline your plans if u have them.
I don't think I have ever limited myself to one state when I travel. Though I sabi how to enter bus well well shaa

If you break the law, are there consequences?
Though I have no idea what ' time of duration' means.
If your stay more than the duration thou are stamped in, thou hast become illegal and shalt be deported or denied entry the next time Thou embarkest on a US voyage.
Please don't join those that give Nigeria a bad name

Your answers are quite short and not informative enough. Heck, you sounded very casual, like you didn't even have enough information about your proposed trip. You're expected to sell yourself, explain in simple details your travel intent, itinerary.

When she asked if you've traveled before, you simply answered Ghana. You're even lucky she asked the purpose. Next time, answer comprehensively even though its Ghana.

'Oh yeah, I was in Ghana once, February this year for the burial of a colleague'

Compare that with the terse reply you gave up there and see which is more interesting and take the conversation further.

If you read this thread like you claimed, I expect your transcript to be better than this even if you are eventually denied the visa application as it is now. What you posted is not a true reflection of your claim.

And if have no travel history will that be an hindrance for me.

Thanks for your response. But i know i did not sound casual only that my response is not convincing enough. I did an itinerary of my proposed trip with cost that would be incurred. As for the Ghana response, replying with what you have posted, i thought is implying that i am revealing too much of what i was not asked. All what i posted is 100% truth, i am not desperate o. i have a better job here with a lot of prospects. Who knows, the state government may decides to send me on a training in US as they have done for my superiors. I am posting it to let other people learn from this, As i have also learn from people denials and approval. I will reapply next year insha Allah. Thanks once again for your sincere opinion.

If I gave you link to a specific place, I won't be helping you. This thread is a book to be read very well. Try it, you'll be the better for it.

The only thing close I can give/tell you is to check my last 5 posts on this forum. I shared my personal experience. Even at that, you should still read through the thread and similar ones, randomly if you can't read page after page.

As for travel experience, big NO. Not having a travelling experience is no hindrance to securing a visa. Not having enough home ties is. Second to that is not being articulate during your interview.

You don't understand.

I know you're not desperate, it doesn't seem like someone with your profile will be. Preparing your itinerary on paper is one thing; talking a VO through your plans convincingly is another.

In a visa application, there's no too much information. What is required is the right information presented truthfully and convincing enough. If you're going to New York for vacation like you stated, you should enthusiastically talk about such proposed trip. Not just answer 'for vacation and sightseeing' That's even tautology in itself; vacation and sightseeing could connote the same thing in this context.

How about you saying 'I intend to visit New York for my vacation this year. I have a few interesting places like xxxxx and xxxxx and xxxx to see. I also plan to take a road trip to xxxxxxx and will be doing xxxxxxx'

That, I believe is a more acceptable response. For one thing, it shows you're prepared for your trip. Such answers can lead the VO to ask about your finances and job which you're also expected to talk very well about.

Good evening everyone. Pls I need answers. My interview is next week 19th of this September. My case is , I'm 27years old girl. I'm engaged but I also have a 3years old son which i had before I met my fiancee. I'm a graduate lecturer at one of the pravite university. My salary is 185k and I also have a bookshop business but I didn't include my business in my ds160 form. i only used a graduate lecturer as my occupation. I bought a b1/b2 visa . My pourpose of traveling is to go for my wedding shopping and also use the opportunity to also do a little site seeing like universal studio ,since I'm shopping at Lilys bridal in orlando Florida. I made hotel reservation already which i included in my ds160 form. the issues is that I'm travelling alone cause my hubby to be is not intressted to go cause of his work. he's a banner and I'm also not going with my baby cause my baby will be writing his exams in school during Nov when I'm going for my shopping. the only travel experience I have was when i visited my uncle at Dublin with my mom as a minor. which i can't prove cause i don't have my minor passport anymore and I want to Ghana by road early this year and which means my passport carrys no stamp. should i just say i haven't travelled before if they ask? will going with my baby give me more chances and also, should i also let them know I had the baby before I met my hubby to be? pls I need advise .

Why didn't you include your bookshop business? That should have come through but since you didn't no point discussing it at the interview unless it is very necessary.

Yes, you can travel alone. The way you have explained to us why you're going alone is the same manner albeit more articulate is what you should to during your interview. Be sure to explain your travel plans clearly.

I see no reason why you can't tell the VO you had your baby before your current union; no crime in that.

As for your travel history, forget that Ghana trip. Officially, you were never in Ghana. You have no way to prove that. Same with your trip to Dublin as a minor.

But wait, I suppose you'd have provided these information in your DS160, no?
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by keyshalee14: 6:49pm On Sep 13, 2017
no I didn't add the traveling experance in my ds160 cause there's no spot in the page where it asked if you have travelled be4. and someone also said they don't aske for Minot passport cause they never asked her and her sis also. and about the business also, I only filled my work cause you can only fill one occupation as the options given.
