This news is unconfirmed. However, if after the withdrawal of the NA from the streets, the IPOB miscreants still refuse to call themselves to order, they should be ready to face the full consequences of their actions.

Useless criminals comparing themselves with Catalan and Carlifornia......is this how Catalan and Carlifornia have been conducting themselves and causing civil disturbances to achieve their goal?

If IPOB were sensible people, they should have calmed down for Python dance to pass and continue with their struggle in a peaceful, orderly and non-incitive manner. I saw a video of BSS today refering to other Nigerians as "cockroaches" yet you want the UN to take you serious. Rubbish

At abia and umuahia incorrect
In abia and umuahia correct.

Some journalist/press don't know the difference between AT and IN.

Back to the topic

Soldiers shouldn't be terrorising the citizens of a state. They are meant to protect the country and not causing havoc.

This APC administration is responsible for all these things we are facing in this country.(karma in action).

They used boko haram to destroy GEJ'S administration

And now buhari's administration is dealt with by the Igbos.

Let's be sincere Nigeria has lost it. Truth be told

Meanwhile, IPOB still retain the right to hold protests and rallies.

Ikpeazu is not in position to stop those fundamental rights!

I will see how buhari and any of this anti Biafrans will outlive the peoples wishes aspirations and dreams, Israelite suffered in Egypt for 400 years, but it take God only but a second to delivered them from the hands of their oppressors, karma never forget neither do he forgive

Ajisebioyolaari:
Soldiers sent by President GEJ were also stationed around Tinubu's residence in 2015. Tinubu did not order his loyalists or "thugs" to create civil disturbances or burn down public properties because of this. There is a civilised way of handling things. The soldiers may be have been wrong in their approach but IPOB werent right either.

Ok....Una eyes don dey clear? BTW, where is your supreme leader? The last time I heard, he was hiding under the bed. Do you know his present location? grin
this guy don't be sentimental here.

In as much as KANU is a human and human are design to struggle and survive.you can pin down somebody and expect him not to hit back.
Thank God the crises didn't go to far
probably the world has began to react that's why the want to remove those soldiers

What were you guys expecting to achieve?

You guys continue underestimating the resolve of these people. Just four days and an operation slated to last for one month is about to take a breather.

Remember a Senator stood in for Kanu's bail. And a day after the clash between the Army and IPOB in front of Kanu's house, the SE caucus of the Senate, SE caucus of the HOR, and Ohaeneze Ndigbo condemned the operation. Reuters reported on it within hours.

And this is the first time in the history of the nation that Hausas were attacked in another region and there was no reprisal in the North. Arewa Youths sent a letter to the UN to label IPOB a terrorist group, UN retorted for their arrest for issuing a quick notice.

I'm not trying to play up IPOB or Kanu. At least 100 IPOB members have died since Kanu returned, but it appears every move to forcefully dissipate the movement does the exact opposite. This is a guy who is meeting with governors, and you think a show of force in his state is a good idea.

IPOB won this round. The last time tens of IPOB members were killed, Amnesty International raised a storm about it. Al Jazeera played a tape about the unprovoked military aggression to Buhari during an interview. Now there's at least one new tape of soldiers maltreating unarmed civilians with dead people in view. What do you think Amnesty International would do this time, send the NA accolades?

IPOB and Nnamdi Kanu is trending on Nigerian Twitter. This is free, inexpensive coverage for them.

The plan to intimidate IPOB backfired, and it'd likely make the Anambra boycott a success.

One poor decision after another.

The SE governors are actually the ones who requested for the military. They have just given ipob first warning cos ipob cannot foot their bills and that of the senators and other politicians from the SE. You want to stand in the way of politicians when elections are around the corner? Think again, KANU is no threat to the PMB but to the SE governors and their political fortune

It did not fail, Abia state governor and Abia traditional leaders meet with the military to beg and negotiate the withdrawal of the military, that is what Kanu could not do, instead he is hiding under his bed. U should be greatful to Abia governor

Well, we will see how long the 'brokered peace' will last. One thing that is certain, South East won't be same for a long time. The IPOPs now have got plenty sympathizers both nationwide and internationally. They will only take the 'time lag' to acquire weapons battle ready for armies second coming.

Let me say this: the glue that seemingly held the obviously fragmented nation of ours is close to been pulled apart. Surely, the armies will return in no distant future and chaos will be the order of the day. Unfortunately, the battle ground will be south east. They will be alliances between IPOPs and other agitators in south-south for alms and intelligence and will eventually lead to full blown war.

Someone should advise the present govt. The reasons for the agitation for restructuring and secession across the country should be addressed. Bullets only fuel it.

I am an igbo man.

Next time they will not attack and kill innocent northerners.

Where were they when I was advocating for soldiers to remain in my own Southsouth during the militancy era.
