Something is wrong with the display. It doesn't displaying colourful pictures. It display pictures like negative. I don't know if it the flex or the screen that's damaged.

The first picture is how my laptop displays. (Like negative picture ) While the second is how the laptop should display (I connected to my TV for it to display like that with VGA).

That is most likely a screen issue.

Change to another screen and see the difference. If it still continues after changing screen, then your signal cable or VGA is going bad

It na HP pavilion dm4. I took out to a friends place to collect some movie. It was working fine there it was when I got home I saw it.

Let the engineer confirm first that it's a screen issue before going to buy the screen

I got the Laptop January 2015 but about 3 months ago,the hinge started giving me issues, i didn't pay attention to it ontime and now it has affected my screen and the plastics around the screen and the hinge are now broken, i want to get another casing because i don't think i have a choice or if there is another way,please help me out. is your system an Intel or AMD laptop??
If by moving the hinges of the laptop affects the display, then it's more likely that the signal cable of your laptop is going bad. But this will require more troubleshooting to conclude on.
