rossferno: Hi all, thanks for the good job here. I have a question that bothers on POF, not sure it had been covered in the past as I have been following keenly from page 200there about. I have about 80% of my POF in a money market account specifically ARM asset management for the past 4 months. I am confused whether to withdraw the money and keep in my personal bank account in preparation for ITA. I really don't want to write LOE for POF since I have the money already though in a non-traditional fixed deposit. Thanks Tspice2015: Hmm, this is a bit tricky. ARM Assets Management is a non bank financial institution but more specifically Asset managers. I.e. they invest your funds in equities. I read up somewhere, CIC states " Funds for POF" must be readily available" i.e. near liquid. 1 Like

KweenCee: That's the same thing we did in our application. Long time ago, we were refused UK visas and we responded yes to that but no to being refused entry. Once we went to Paris and we were delayed and asked several questions probably because of the refusal we had. If we had been refused entry, our answer to the refusal if entry question would then have been Yes. |

Hello everyone and good morning. DEEAJA, that's an inspiring story. Congratulations and I wish you the best as you get ready to relocate. So I joined the WhatsApp group for September AOR on Canadavisa and people are starting to pass their medicals. Hopefully not too long wait for us anymore. 1 Like |

Good morning good people, please what does it mean when your background check changes from "not applicable" to " we are processing your background check....." This is after medicals passed. |

Thanks for this. I have researched on the subject with no clarity. Other financial professional should please advise. Really need to make the decision quickly. May be a better option is to move the money into fixed deposit in a bank. Thanks |

rossferno: It depends on you and how you feel about it. But i used ARM's reference for my proof of funds. I got a letter from them and my portfolio print out and also my reference from axal mansard's money market fund. I had just 500k in my salary account. My friend dat did the same got ppr 3 weeks back 2 Likes |

rossferno:Hi, I think you've been appropriately advised that you can leave your funds in the ARM account. Another point you might wish to consider is, Pension accounts are accepted to beef up POF, if these accounts can be used, then why won't an investment account be accepted? Moreover, T-bills is also an investment and your money is not even with the bank but the FG. If T-bills certificate is acceptable, why not that from ARM? See post from gustalnov below and a couple of responses confirming your ARM account can be used. To relieve your worries, Mummyjaygirls has her COPR. I must however say I do not know what portion she used. gustalnov: dtush: MummyJaygirls: 1 Like |

impish: Just read your blog. Very very nice and informative. You could also get some guest writers to blog on their experiences too especially about moving to other parts of Canada. Some people don't mind writing for free, or you get their stories and write for them. I would love to read about Blackbuddy and Maternal's experiences All the same, can't wait to read the next one. 1 Like |

rukayatd: The main differences between Q-Life and Children practice include: * You need to pre-book with Q-Life while Children Practice accepts walk-ins (but make sure you get there before 10am). * Q-Life charges N28K for adult and N20K for each child below 5 years, N22K for children age 5 years to 10 years while Children Practice charges a flat rate of N28K for all. You can check this post by @Perks for the requirements. 2 Likes 2 Shares |
