Visa granted. Timeline: Application submitted: 23rd August Biometrics and interview: 25th August Decision made:14th September Collection mail: 14th September I paid for priority and my timeline is pretty much the same as my friend who used Standard. As others have pointed out, Priority around this period is a waste of time. Either use Standard or Super Priority. Also, I applied under the Tier 4 Pilot scheme so I did not have to include financial evidence and previous academic qualifications. I was a bit worried about this, but that was the direction I got from my university (Cambridge). My visa was granted so not submitting those documents did not affect my application. 1 Like |

nonen: Hello my Brother. First, let me say sorry that your application was refused. I just had a look at the refusal letter. To be honest, I think the ECO raised some very valid points. Painful as it may sound, I see reason with the ECO. Best wishes bro.

It depends on your POE and if that's your first time in the Uk. My POE was manchester airport and its noted as one of the friendliest poe in the UK, moreover this wasnt my first time in the Uk, so my experience might not accurately work with you. I was only asked what i was here for which is to study, the guy asked for my passport and landing card, asked to take my fingerprint and stamped my passport in. That was all for me. Bukonlaaa: |

LaaJiblik: Thanks my dear for reaching out. However, I have genuine counter argument for the ECO''s reasons for rejection, and I'm strongly considering Administrative Review. Firstly, the ECO mentioned about my study progression (working as an Information Technology Consultant and studying marketing). Well, I have a HND, and we understand the disparity between HND and Bsc in Nigeria, this has really limited my ability to grow, and I therefore decided to equalise my HND and Bsc disparity with the PGD in marketing. Moreover, I have some Information Technology certifications, which I have acquired during my IT career. My current work exposure requires me to also play a managerial role as a consultant, and my marketing PGD training has really improved my career achievements. On the issue of evidence of source of cash, I attached my bank statement, and there appeared one transaction for my July salary of 500k. But because the ECO rule requires 28days bank statement, I could only have one salary payment entry in 28days. If I'm to provide more months of bank statement, they'd see other 500k salary payments. On the issue of cash availability, I was really surprised the ECO didn't award me 10 points for my funds. Well, I let my interviewer understand that my salary upon my promotion when I return to work is a confidential, only to the HR department, so I don't know how much I will be paid, however, I'm certain of an impressive increase. My course is costing me 30,325 pounds because I'm travelling with my wife and 1yr son. Please do you think I stand a chance going through Administrative Review? @justwise please can you advise too? Thanks everyone. |

udemski: Sorry to hear about the rejection, but I think you need to specify exactly what question you need answers to. Are you considering an Admin Review? Also why did your friend have two interviews? |

udemski: Yes he can, but he would need evidence to show that the ECO made a mistake. He should email the refusal to the school straight away. They will advise him if he has a case. Also has your friend schooled in the UK before? He could argue that he schooled there before and came back, so why the ECO would assume different this time is beyond me. Hope this helps |
