Juchii: Igbo's should not overlook the benefit of operation pathon dance. They always offer free medical treatment to everyone.
I am an Igbo guy and I support it 100% my reasons are but not limited to;
(1) the hate and hate speech is now spreading so rapidly that it is now affecting the younger ones. I want them to have the mind of their own.
(2) the instability in the region is now chasing investors away thereby increasing unemployment rate. No investor would like to invest in such area.
(3) the agitation is as a result of total ignorance and greed. Even if you give them everything, they will still ask for more.
(4) it is dragging people away from business because of lost in focus. This people no longer do their normal business. They keep running from one IPOB meetings to another. Chest beating on how they have the capacity to build nuclear weapons, how their BSS is the best in the whole world, how they can burn Nigeria in 24 hours. What a world of fantasy .
(5) the Biafra would be the worst country; the division within the Biafra land, the hatred because they have taught themselves how to hate instead of love.
(6) Biafra land is not economically viable. The revenue we generate can not feed two states out of five state we have. They are landlocked, they don't produce enough food that can feed a state out of five. They will import every but with which money
(7) 70% of Igbo don't want Biafra, they don't subscribe to it. They are not prone to deception from Nnamdi KANU. But the 30% that want Biafra are more vocal thereby overshadowing the 70%.
My father once told me that, "it is possible to wake up a sleeping person but impossible to the one pretending to be asleep. True knowledge is the knowledge of ones own ignorance."

JimD: Many people saying Igbos have been non-violent up till now. They have not declared war. The path of secession is a path of war; Ask UK and US, Yugoslavian countries, India and Pakistan, North and South Korea, Czech and Slovakia. Either the country is bought by another country in the case of Alaska, and recently Scotland (still negotiating) or is ready for full-blown war. If you will build a house, you sit down and count the cost. Many of these Igbos haven't. Howeber, Buhari has been undiplomatic. Makes me wonder if he's really military. Very untactical move. Hmmn... this is deep. The only country I can recall that seceded without going to war was Singapore, which used to be one of the 14 states of Malaysia. It opted peacefully to join Malaysia in 1963, but it was expelled from the union in 1965, after major racial riots that year involving the majority Chinese community, and the Malay community in Singapore. clarocuzioo: I was born in aba, I am in aba right now, it is a well known fact that anytime there is tension of this nature in aba, people always seize that opportunity to exhibit their criminal tendencies, in 90's when Ariaria market got burnt, criminal elements seized the opportunity to loot, my Aunty 's shop was burgled, that's always the case anytime we have such situation, even in America, people saw the hurricane Irma as an opportunity to loot and miam, please do not give it a political inclination please let us be logical, Na true word you talk! |

dane15: I keep asking myself what happened to this NK? https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=mlKqSJeHgRo&app=desktop
This NK had the opportunity to write his name in the history books with the likes of Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela through the use of a focused, refined, calculated and strategic approach.
I am not a Biafran and I really would love Igbos to continue in Nigeria but if they wish to leave, they need to start seeing Biafra as a project and not a task. A project is long term in nature and strategic. They need to start developing LEADERS, a thing which is enormously lacking among the touts and hooligans chanting Biafra everyday.
They say the average Igbo man does not have the patience to think strategically but just wants self gratification and wants things NOW regardless of the cost but I think it is not true. If an Igbo man can start a business from wheel barrow and grow it to a Shopping Mall in ten years, that is strategic thinking.
I believe there are people in the North, South, East and West who are slightly sympathetic to to the cause but the name calling and crude approach is a No, no for them.
On the issue of the UN or US support, US benefits whenever there is civil unrest in a Oil producing country. Production will reduce and Crude Oil price will increase, benefiting the US as they will make more money from their export. Military Hardware producing factories will employ more people because of increased demand still benefiting the US. It will not be in their interest for a war to stop if it starts, God forbid. All the US will do is to advise Biafra Leader and the Nigerian President to dialogue. Just consider that the war in Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria have not really ended.
If you have seen the movie 300, you will understand that Leonidas' military achievements against the Persians was because of his geographical advantage and training. An average Spartan is trained for war almost from birth. When I see those saying that IPOB will defeat the NA in battle I just weep. It can never end well. Ojukwu had the privilege of being in the army and therefore has an head start over NK in case of any war outbreak. Even at that, it ended in a massacre.
Mandela and Gandhi proved that not every noble cause must be achieved by bloodshed. Wisdom will always defeat strength 1 million times.
There is still time for NK to become another Gandhi or Mandela but he has to start by: 1. Calling the criminals who have hijacked the IPOB cause for personal greed to stop their provocative actions. 2. Roll out a strategic plan for Biafra Actualization through doing a proper SWOT Analysis. 3. Since he has the people on his side, any Leader he endorses will likely win any election. He should work towards sweeping all the 2019 political seats from the LG to the National level. (This will kill the excuse of our leaders are sabotaging our efforts). 4. Biafran representatives should continue to push for constitution amendment for both restructuring or secession depending on whichever matures first based on the circumstances at the time. 5. He should continue to dialogue with influencers from the North, West, South and Middle belt while using 2019-2023 to sell the Biafran proposal and prototype to Igbos still on the fence through good governance, innovation, creativity and financial integrity. He should change Biafra from just a map to an ideology.
I believe with the above, the peaceful actualization of Biafran will be a step closer.

PrecisionFx: Edo state was NEVER A PART OF BIAFRA.
Itshekiri were in the mid west n were not a part of biafra.
""an Igbo man, or an Igbo-dominated""
It's foolhardy to believe that they would want to remain with nigeria n entrust their entire destiny in a Yoruba n Hausa dominated nation after the Igbos in SE n SS are gone abi.. The first correct thing you ever said in a long while was that Edo & Itsekiri were never part of Biafra. And I still do not see them consenting to become part of your proposed republic, now or in the nearest future. The Bini/Edo/Itsekiri people I know, will never allow that to happen! Even if Nigeria breaks up today, they would never join your Biafra. So what was the reason for your earlier post where you claimed that they were having meetings with your members??! Innomach: Igbos have leaders and representatives representing them. Even though we might disagree or dislike them because of their personalities or the process that brought them to the leadership level, the fact still remains that they are constitutionally recognized to represent their people. Anybody or group of persons cannot rise out of the blues claiming to represent the Igbos and start giving ultimatum to constituted authorities on what they want or death. If that is left unchecked, several other group and persons would come up with their own demands, thereby taking us to state of anarchy. I hope that is not what you want.
The solution is simple! If IPOB/Nnamdi Kanu think they represent the majority of Ndi Igbo, let them come up for elections, matching the present leaders tackle for tackle, man to man until they succeed in pushing forward their own candidates who share same ideology. It is only then that IPOB can truly claim to represent the people. Anything outside that is suicidal because the Nigerian government is going to treat them as miscreants and criminals, use them for shooting practice and nothing will happen. And if you keep consoling yourselves that the world is watching, you may just be living a life of fantasy because the world doesn't care about you. You guys have to read and understand international politics to learn that you are just on your own. The least they can do is sending relief items to the injured and displaced victims of war.

The motion for referendum to decide the question of Scottish independence, was moved by Nicola Sturgeon a Scottish parliamentarian. Section 30 of the Scotland Act 1998 in the United Kingdom and Scottish parliaments, gives full legal backing to allow a single question referendum on Scottish independence, to be held before the end of 2014. The order puts beyond doubt that the Scottish parliament, can legislate for the referendum.
Unlike IPOB supporters that want others who have nothing to do with their proposed republic, to dash them referendum, it was the Scottish people that put together the political machinery for it, and executed it. After they had followed due process by doing their homework and groundwork politically, the rest of Britain could now accede to it. Well since you seem to be quoting history. Just because you are Igbo, does not automatically entitle you to agitate on behalf of Igbos. Not unless you have sought and gotten their mandate. Igbos have never given IPOB or Kanu any mandate. IamaNigerianGuy:
I am not Igbo either but the way I see it, IPOB is now more than an Igbo thing.
1.Nobody needs your permission to agitate for a decent existence and failing that,to seek for an alternative arrangement. You may as well start your own group if you are unhappy with IPOB and content with the conditions in Nigeria.
2. The ex Soviet republics are all happy with their independence. What is your point? Have the Ukrainians, Georgians, Armenians, Lithuanians, Estonians and others told you they are unhappy ?
2. There is very little wrong with the constitution. For example Buhari the senile, sick, bigoted president makes appointments to his kinsmen against the articles and spirit of the constitution. There is no passage in the constitution that mandates looting but the governors, ministers, senators et al do so. Is there any support in the Nigerian constitution for the Army murder of Shiites ? Constitution is a minor issue.
Nnamdi Kanu is not perfect but why while we await the perfect man, let us give him kudos for his courage and action. |

No. The army came in, conducted their operations and left peacefully.
In March 2017, the army conducted Operation Ex Harbin Kunama II specifically in Southern Kaduna, Birnin Gwari, Kyambana Forest and some volatile areas in Plateau State, Lame Burra Forest in Bauchi and Falgore Forest in Kano State. no record of assaults or skirmishes were recorded, to the best of my knowledge.
Operation Lafiya Dole also took place in the North, which entailed massive movement of personnel and military hardware across the region, but nobody confronted the army and told them not to pass a certain area. Why the one in the SE ended in a skirmish is what needs to be investigated. Your IPOB chaps unwittingly turned themselves into combatants by hurling stones, missiles bottles etc, at the army and things escalated from there. Stop comparing apple and oranges.. Militants in Ikorodu destroys oil pipeline, IPOB is hugely non violent. conducting rallies. Boko haram killed, murdered and kidnapped. IPOB did none of those. |

Their position gave them access to crumbs from the "massa"'s table, and some semblance of warmth from his fire place. It was a privileged position to be a HouseNigga, and so they grew to detest the idea of freedom, for so long as they were the ones who were pleasured with the nice aroma from the massa's ( master ) kitchen, what other kind of freedom are those fellas in the field talking about? "It is their stupid talk about freedom, and running off all the time that makes massa think all we niggas are bad,and we might so lose this privilege of eating warm food and warming massa's bed if these field niggas don't stop singing those nasty freedom hymes." So the House Niggas grew to hate and betray their kins in the field. And to prove total loyalty and impress their masters they decided to #SelfHate , and siezed every opportunity to inform their owner "how bad we niggas can be". As a matter of fact these slaves once upon a time fought against their own liberation. Yes, there were some black slaves who fought on the side of the Confederate Army in the American civil war to prevent their own freedom! Now thats how far some slaves are willing to go because for them, freedom has been redefined to mean, a more comfortable enslavement. That's the House Nigga Syndrome! They hate their own kind. They oppose their kind. They find fault always with themselves. They magnify the error of one of their kind to mean an inherent trait in their racial or ethnic gene. The #HouseNiggas do all these to seek validation and receive approval from those they look up to for a more comfortable enslavement. With the end of the Nigeria/Biafra war, the need for personal survival of the Igbo Nation led to the creation of the #IgboHouseNigga. Now you already know the guiding ethos of a typical house nigga. But how do you identify an IgboHouseNigga when you chance upon tthem? Here are some important traits to look out for: 1. When you hear him say, "Look, I am an Igbo man, but truth be told, we Igbos are bad, even me I am bad", know that an IgboHouseNigga is on the prowl. Then his "Massa" would always reward him with, "Hey, I like that dude, he is honest". And the idiot will nod like an atụrụ. 2. They sometimes open introduction with an apology, "I'm sorry sir, i'm Igbo..." Now not sure if their apology was accepted, they would take a step further to water down their Igboness by linking themselves to some dinasours, " ...em...but my great grand mother's sister was Yoruba ...and my couzine is married to a Kanuri ..i'm sorry sir". An IgboHouseNigga. 3. You hear them wave off every attempt at Igbo self determination with hollow sounding comments like "Nna leave this Biafran nonsense ...dem no get work ...na we dey kill ourself...". Now this group of IgboHouseNiggas have small change in their pockets, drink some expensive wine and have one plot of land somewhere outside Igboland. 4.They take up political appointment outside Igboland and turn around to insult the same people on whose platform they got the appointment, one chap in Lagos is always in the market place pointing at his father house with his left hand. IgboKweNu! 5. Their ears itch for bad news from Igboland, so they would grin and shout "I warned them...didn't I say so?" 6. When you hear Igbo haters declare; "Hey that chap is the only Igbo man that makes sense" just know an Igbo house nigga is around the corner. 7. They see everything wrong with their own people, all the time. 8. As governors they report to the Sultan of Sokoto on how they govern their own people. There are five of them at the moment and they the worst kind of IgboHouseNiggas, little timid men who celebrate the murder of their own children and pat the murderers on the back. But .. the truth about all you #IgboHouseNiggas is, you disgust your masters and they merely tolerate you. For a purpose. Your masters true respect and admiration goes to the courageous Amadis and Amaalas who would rather starve free than become fat slaves, those who will rather die on their feet as freemen than die licking the dirty butts of this Haggard Tyrant and his murderous gang. Afterall death will come to all men. For all FREEMEN who were murdered in Abia for "talking too much and waving a flag", may you find peace and return soon to us. 1 Like |

kaymart: Without mincing words, one can confidently say that the southwest is simply the most peaceful region in the country..... Call them Afonja or whatever. The yorubas are peace loving people worldwide. Lest, I forget, education is indeed a light. When u r literate, u behave with some sort of rare distinction.
I've never been the one that talk on tribal issues but I love the Yorubas. I schooled in the south-south, Edo state to be precise. I have been so fortunate to interact with peace loving individuals. Edo state is the most peaceful state in the South-south region. I passionately love the Binis and generally the Edos as a people. They love themselves too amidst the disparity in cultural heritage. Stop lying while trying to talk usual trash. Yorubas are not the most educated in nigeria. Since 2002, SE produce highest number of SSCE n degree holders in nigeria. SS comes in @ number 2. SW @ number 3. The Nigerian state with the highest number of professors in nigeria is not a yoruba state, not a SS state, not a northern state, fill in the blank space. |
