Aside Tantra which according to me, is the shortest path to enlightenment when one wishes not to abandon a modern lifestyle, I am most admirative of the philosophy and wisdom of the thrice greatest. Recently a collection of great books pertaining this school of thought just located me quite unexplicably. We shall certainely discuss that privately, but after reading a few of the books, I realised how much modern esoteric thought owes to Him.

Hermes Trismegistus is considered the father of Ceremonial Magick (though his existence has been debated in more than one occult and scientific circles...more like a legendary figure).

The advice I give aspiring enlightenment seekers (neophytes if you will) is to espouse a particular philosophy first, master it, implement it, control it, tweak it after which new occult ideologies can be sought for.

This way, you won't waste time trying to be an adept by absorbing a mismash of occult philosophies that may end up totally messing up your occult journey. Path of the occult is sooooo wide, amazingly so!

How you choose to manipulate these forces determines the whole " black magick", "white magick", or "grey magick" (what Sarassin terms "the middle path" nomenclature to your practices.
