joygirl2017: Thank you dear. Please anyone that can make it to Oxford on that day, send me a pm so I can send you directions. I'm still recovering from naija stress but after one month, it's time to start making my own money. @joygirl2017 thank you for showing me this thread let me dedicate one file for all our important letters for the next step. I guess it's time to call the council now to get my name on the bill. That money is not a small something. |

Realgeo: I've attended my own appointment and it takes about 6 weeks for them to send it to you after your appointment. If you want to start work immediately you'll definitely earn small salary before the number comes out. How are you settling in? Is the cold doing you the same way it's doing me? (I've always been a bush woman when it comes to cold) |

Realgeo: Woow Manchester not far from me 1and half train ride from where I am .2hours with car if there is no traffic . Chai Manchester and their traffic honestly reminds me of lagos island you just have to time yourself . I usually come to Manchester to buy african food stuff or Newcastle . My hubby helped me with my cv Will definitely hook up with you when I visit Manchester hopefully in obi's wedding in Oxfordshire African wedding enough african food really targetting the jollof rice missed it My city is quiet and I like it I havnt gotten it oo the NI they asked me to bring any proof that shows I can work in the uk . Have applied to quite a number of places I got 2 positive results . Just waiting . But my joint account will be ready on Monday , done council tax , picked biometric , registered with hospital so remaining the NI and tax stuff as soon as I start work . There is nothing paining than that council tax bill is just ridiculous I just dont get why that amount of money after paying tax and paying other bills . Its well I will not suffer I will live like a king lol . Pleasant lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places . How is the weather in Manchester ? Still enjoying the sun here not soo cold compared to winter Please try and take multivitamins to boost your immune system cos the winter isnt funny last year was a goid winter wasnt too cold it stays the sams this year and register in a gym to burn calories and remove toxins from the body here in the uk the weather isnt as hot as Nigeria You need to sweat out to remove toxins and keep fit . Ok cheers . Will send my uk number via email |

obiw24: You are not meant to attend interview for the NI because your not from EU or British. Just call them on phone and they will send you the form to fill and send it back to them. I am enjoying the cold weather cause I have been living in Germany b4 now... don't worry u will catch up |
Re: Applying For FLR After Your Initial UK Spouse Visa (extension) by Realgeo(m): 10:20pm On Sep 17, 2017 |

joygirl2017: You seem to know Manchester very well. Lots of Africa shop and hold ups but I like the hustling and bustling. Adding new name in the council tax will surely increase it but I bet we need it as part of the next stage application. I called the job center and they sent me the form for the NI number and I have filled it and sent it back to them. I am enjoying the cold cause I like cold weather. Lived in Germany for long so I am used to cold weather. Save money for hubby ooo. No use the heater finish oga money. Cheers |

How is everyone settling in? The cold nights are here, please stay warm. If you are based in London and looking for a job, there's a massive recruitment in Amazon fulfilment center based in tilbury. You can look up to it online if interested. |

Please i would like to ask a question..I applied for FLR under my child who is a British born during May 2017,did my biometric in june and after 2months,my document was returned back to me because the home office couldn't take their fee from my account so i decided to purchase a postal order and sent back my document along with the postal order in september (last month)which i;m using for the home office payment....Although i know it takes 6months to approve my application if they successfully took the payment but since they were unable to take their payment and i paid by postal order,do i need to wait for another 6months or it wouldnt take up to 6months before they could approve my application once they receive my application with the postal order....And is there any probability that i would be granted a leave to remain |

So in a nutshell documents you need to next phase -Council tax -Collect BRP -National Insurance -Electric company -Gas company ( if you have) -Water company (both fresh and waste) Then once you have a letter from one of the utilities or council tax: -Bank Account -GP -Dentist (my husband hasn't yet registered with one smiley ) useful information: NI number: https://www.gov.uk/apply-national-insurance-number call 0345 600 0643 Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm (make sure you state he has been offered a job but requires a NI number) they will ask why you need one although obvious, however you can actually work for up to 12 weeks without an NI number smiley this is issued now by the jobcentre Plus not DWP Also keep everything in a file 1 Like |
