People tend to act as if there’s no other way to show their images but by sliders. This simply isn’t true.The truth be told, I for sometime now have tried to change my themes. Reasons being : I needed a theme with slider.

Until lately, I stumbled on an article, then I figured that maybe sliders ain't really necessary.

Often times, SEO Experts and conversion experts agree on the fact that sliders make little or no impact on a site.



I wanna share reasons why it is not advisable to make use of slider in websites

1 Only 1% of an audience actually click on a slide, which almost always was the first slide.
2 Most times than often: Sliders confuse people, as you’re sending multiple offers they may or may not be interested in at once.
3 People simply ignore your slider, because it triggers banner blindness.

I don't use slider, but that doesn't discard the fact that sliders make your blog look more cute, especially if you have a neat and well designed blog. If your blog looks dirty, adding a slider will make it more ugly. My opinion though.

Good concept with slider helps you achieve single page application i.e adding more content on the landing page or index. I love sliders alot, I think it brings out uniqueness in a webpage if properly utilised.

A Slider is a good form of advertising your content but it's advisable to use it only on PC view why is that most surfers don't usually use script enabled devices when they go mobile and you know sliders are powered by scripts. So I will say unless you are using sliders for an e-commerce site or something related, I'll advice you not use slider on your pages.

Actually this article came with a lot of research and actually it's an opinion and more like it's a choice to rule it off or not. no harm in trying new things out. If sliders work for you.....fine......I just listed this points, so people like us that feels that sliders are all, would change their mindset
