Aerys seems to be one of my best characters, lol. Though not much was said about him though. I just love the bad guys, like Ramsey ( Joffery dosent reach this guy half in sadism).

When Aerys wanted to execute Rickard Stark, Stark asked for a trial by combat. He got what he wanted though, but what Aerys did was to hang him upside down and put a brazier under him, and said the champion of house Targeryan was fire ( I'm sure he was hoping to fight one of the kingsguard). So to prove his innocence, he had to not burn. .


People don't know but Jaime did the realm good by getting rid of that man.

That's not my reason though,
I will try, but the book I have, it's an eBook, instead of chapters it's the characters names that are the headings, I've not seen that style before, lol,

Also when reading, little details like the description of the rooms, things that do not need description in the series are described there, makes it more tiring for me to read, hmmm, maybe because I'm reading it with the mind that I've watched the series, I will try and read it as a new book I just came across, I will see how that goes.

But one day, when I will read, and I will probably tag you to start 'oooohing' and 'aaahing' over how the book is so is more interesting or how they cut things out, lol, I'll try

grrm's style of writing is giving points of view. Meaning each chapter describes what happens from a characters point of view or perspective that is why the chapters have names of characters as titles and relax when reading it, reread each line again, some statements have either or and multiple meanings or deeper significance which you will get to appreciate as you go far in the books, many statements are cryptic and you won't understand them until about your third attempt at reading the books (I'm saying you'll go back to reread the books again and again trying to solve mysteries)
