@uniquebony,The reason you hear less frequently from him is i think he is in dire straits now so dont put yourself and your child in similar situation. My reasons.Your husband went to the u.s in 2014.The cheapest 2 year program in u.s costs a minimum of $30k cash down for a non citizen and i am not sure your husband can afford that and so the only option for he is to drop out of school and status and start hustling illegally.Student visas does not confer any status to any foreigner meaning that in his present state he cannot drive a car or work or rent an apartment or open a bank account or have access to healthcare or any of the social services. Why would you abandon a banking job to come and become a fugitive in u.s with your child?I have seen a couple of nigerians who abandoned banking jobs at home to come here and squat in homeless shelters. Its even worse for women cos a lot of men takes a lot of immoral undue advantages of women in such situations .I think its better you renew your visa through drop box and always visit him anytime its financially convenient to do so

Which kind lie be this. You dey US, you no know how things dey run. How illegals dey drive, open bank account, rent apartments and have access to healthcare so far they can pay out of their pockets. All legally. All na by proper information. Only those who are informed. I personally know if a company that couldn't get enough legal workers to work for them. Because of the nature of the kind of business they operate in. The government officially allowed the company to employ a given number of illegals because the job cannot be left undone so far they will be remitting their taxes. So many other organizations like that. Note: I don't encourage illegality in anyway. Just saying what I know.

Okay Madam. You need to dig for info. It seems your husband is not telling you the whole truth.

You said He has finished school. Can you confirm details of the higher institution he finished from.
Secondly you said He is working now. That he has a job or an apartment doesn't mean He is in the US legally. To be legal means he has a VALID visa covering his continued stay. Now if your husband got a job based on his study then he should be on a WORK PERMIT visa I believe those visas are EB meaning employment based. EB1,2,3. If that is the case then He can request for his family to join him. EB visas have an permanent resident aka green card route.

Do you see now why I said you need to find out the whole truth. This is because you should not be the one looking for how to join him. He should be the one pushing to bring his family over. Ignorance is not bliss.

Please your time and data to study how employment visas work and find our what your husband isn't telling you before you implicate yourself.

Your husband's status in the US will come up during your interview for any visa you apply for next.

Hey bro. So it's you. In fact I didn't remember your moniker. Nice to hear about you health that now you are fine. Thanks to God. For the bold. I talked about a few legal routes over certain things for the illegals. Like getting drivers license, getting health care, getting their kids enrolled in schools , getting some certain work, opening a bank account and payment of taxes.

you are in Canada. What do you know about the happenings in the US? What I'm saying is not something in the news or made known to the public. It's an in house affairs between state governments and the companies. Companies have to pay tax to the state government. How will they be able to pay if they are short of workers, and how will the states be able to boost their revenues if the companies are shot down for lack of workers. Remember, these are jobs Americans don't wanna do. That's the rationale behind it.

Completely wrong rationale.

So that you can apply abi? Ok let me help a brother by naming just one which in my opinion is the least of them. You can be making package delivery for amazon if you have a car and tax id number. You don't have to be legal before you can legally have a tax id and a car. You can be doing this while you are busy at other things. I just said this so that you guy should understand I know what I'm saying. Amazon only ask for social security number, but when you offer them your tax id number, they accept it. Remember this is one of the jobs Americans don't wanna do. But you can do it while doing other jobs. You know how many Nigerian illegals that I know working for them using tax id? Of course you people don't know what tax id is.

That's why I said if you don't have your hands on the proper information, you will only be going by popular beliefs that certain things are not possible. Until you meet the actual people.

This doesn't make sense. In your previous post, you said ''The government officially allowed the company to employ a given number of illegals''. You are suggesting that the US government officially allows Amazon to employ illegal workers?

Interesting! And may be that's why the U.S. visa is very hard to get because they already know that once people are in the U.S. all the impossibilities becomes possible cool

No you don't, you are just like many Nigerians who come here to tell piles of lies just to be seen as a nice guy.

American govt will not officially allow a company to employ illegal immigrants as you falsely claimed here.

Do not use this section to encourage illegal activities again

As an individual, you don’t need a tax identification number (ITIN) if you have a social security number. Your illegal pals (not sure why you hang around such if you’re above board yourself) may be working but they are essentially slaves. No means to buy homes, vote or régularité their status. It’s better to live in Nigeria than live with one eye open for the police 24 hours a day. Good luck if that’s what you want to. I certainly love the freedom of being able to leave and come home to the US whenever I please?
