At the bolded, i don't know what you are talking about. In a crowded and rowdy place, you should know that there will always be people with evil intentions. So please don't go about with that impression that all Nigerians are fraudsters. Before you pay for your spare parts, you have to certify that what you are buying is what you actually needed. If you are not sure of this, then you need to go with a trusted mechanic who would help you decide. Besides, why you sef go buy expired product in the first place.

dishonesty nd fraud are the two main identities of an average Nigerian. very corrupt ppl. the Muslim is corrupt, the Christian is corrupt nd traditional adherents are even the worst.

After reading all the experience of people in ladipo I have come to the conclusion that the traders at ladipo has no conscience, They are the cause of all the Road accidents and deaths on every nigerian Road by selling substandard motor parts to unaware motorists. It's time they are regulated. Otherwise these murderers in disguise will all go to hell! After dieing horrible deaths, mind you they will be the first to turn up in church giving thanks for the blessings of God, money made from dealing on substandard parts.
My uncle has a shop in ladipo by the way! He has been begging me to send him containers of spare parts but I don't trust him.

The parts was bought by my friend unknowingly, we took it back for a refund the dealer refused to refund, why did he even sell an expired break pad to us? I mean, did he want us dead?

What boggled my mind was that instead of refunding he gave us another even worst brake pads that cost less than the first one.

Once you walk into a shop and ask for a spare parts and the shop dealer says; 'its available, sit down let me go and bring it'. As he is going out, move away to the opposite direction!

Don't let anyone take you to any shop. If they don't have it right there, move away and go to the next shop yourself. I fell victim a good number of times before I realized I was being duped consistently by my trusted mechanic there in the market.

i am not familiar with what you have mentioned, No! There's nothing i can do. And he even has the Audacity to buy himself a house some were in Abule super (i have no idea were that place is located) After he must have sold the Goods. Even though i let him and his families live in my property in palm Avenue rent free for years.

Ladipo market is a very good market to get all your required vehicle parts.
Here's the trick,if you are a newbie in the market,you will see all kind of men(baranda people) telling you they have the item you are looking for(its a lie,they don't own any shop),follow them to the shop and price the market below what you believe "would be" cost price and stand on it.(the baranda people knows the nooks and cranies of the market,in the process of taking you everywhere you will sight a good place to buy what you want).if the seller didnt agree to your price,leave the scene and try another place,after a while (maybe one hour)go back to the previous seller and price it again in the absence of the baranda guyz.you will get it cheaper because the seller would not be compelled to pay the baranda guyz that brought you earlier.(the baranda guyz usually inflate price to as much as 25-50 percent of the orignal price)

It will give you adequate knowledge of where and where to go incase of a next coming.

The problem is that some people don't like anybody that tells them the truth.

There are genuine parts, there are genuine people. There are first class Tokumbo parts, as good as oem, but some customers don't want to believe you.

Let me give you an example.
From stabiliser linkage for Toyota vehicles are in 2 grades for brand new, one is N3,500 and another is N25,000. They look alike but the difference is in the durability. If I tell you that stabiliser linkage is N25,000 and another person tells you N10,000, who is the criminal? Me of course.

So is with Tokumbo. Some customers want to get the best with little, it doesn't work. And one thing is that the boys want to sell, and instead of losing you because you are pricing it low, they give you what your money can offer.

But then, there are people who are still evil, no matter how much you pay, they must dupe you. So, be careful whom you are dealing with. You can have a particular person who supplies you parts. You can always hold him responsible. You must not come to LADIPO.

My advice is, have a good mechanic and always pay him well after working for, so that he doesn't work with parts seller against you. If you're stingy to your mechanic, that's a problem.

I'm not exornorating parts sellers, but I think there are still good ones.

I do my business there, and my decision is to always tell customers the truth, though it's not easy because you have to be patient. Everybody wants to get it cheaper elsewhere.

Can't forget sometime in 2013 i wanted to buy a moderate fairly used asha nokia phone ended up buying the fake one precisely china, after i complain to the seller that he sold china for me, he keep exchanging the the phone with other phone that he have but still china brand.
I plan to threaten the buyer with police only to come the next and learnt the seller was shot by armed robber that after seeing the obituary post.i gave up and just manage the phone.

Bruh, you should know that most people in this world will always make money by hook or crook. You ain't new on planet earth na. Only a handful of people make money through honesty. So i don't need to explain further. Ladipo market isn't full of saints. Only a few have conscience and even with that conscience, expect them to put the price on their wares above the usual market price. That is where you then exercise your bargaining power.

I've bought two long frame Toyota hiace bus from ladipo, brand new, cut but was refitted and the steering system changed to the normal driving system for Nigeria.

On our journey back to the east, one of the bus nearly caught fire as fuel was coming out from the exhaust pipe... Gazzuzz please explain.

I've also bought Toyota engine for a Toyota bus, radiator for my car, etc

Infact I love ladipo and it's behave of activities. Never a dull moment in there. I enjoyed the idomie noddle preparations there, the whistles and bustling live et all until I met a "brother" from my very village who painted picture of living like dangote but indeed living in squalor as I get to find out and he almost swindle me.
