Oh Olishe, honestly am ardent supporter of local coaches but of recent i realized d foreign ones are far ahead, look at what Rohr is doing presently with d team, playing fatherly role.I had opportunity of meeting Westerhoff sometimes ago and i asked him how did he managed Eagles then and he said all u need is to take them as your children and leave d rest.

That's exactly I posted few threads back.... What rohr is doing now is not spectacular or wonderful things... But taking them as children and made them to do what he want...

So years back I was reading story about Mouriho coaching career.. I read a part that talks about him doing the motivation on his player... Telling them... They are the best... No better players than them... And the results always show...

That's what most of us is lacking in Nigeria self... You ain't good you are bashed.... You aren't performing are dropped... Bantering on psychological of player...

What are the things that makes us perform very well in under grade competition... Those coaches believe they are small children and treated them as one...

But in national team... Coach self They beef players... And arrongatly throw you out... Cos of personally reason they even abuse your mother... Lol...

Some Words of Amaju Pinnick on Tammy's Expected switch

“I had a very honest and productive discussion with Tammy and his father last week.

“It’s been a long process but I can tell you authoritatively that he has agreed to play for Nigeria and not England.

“He and his parents have started the necessary documents to effect the switch.

“Clearly he understands he stands a better chance playing for
the Super Eagles. With his talent he has the ability to fight for a place in the Nigeria squad, by God’s grace we make it to Russia, then he would contest for a chance to represent his fatherland.”

Pinnick added: “I have said it often that my relationship with his father would help and so it was important to speak to them together.

“They are happy with the prospect of playing for Nigeria.

“Of course everyone in England can see what Victor Moses and Alex Iwobi have gone on to achieve with Nigeria.

“We must wait because it is not so straightforward with Fifa. But the important thing is that we have made a big capture by getting Tammy.”

Whether you are sentimental about foreign-bred or not, I must say we must give Pinnick and co praise for turning a new chapter in the war for players' allegience. I must say Pinnick and in fact the new NFF has made playing for the Super Eagles more attractive than ever before, regardless of the problems we still face in national football matters. We have improved in packaging and the use of influence and better approach (compared to the past) in the way we go about convincing these young talents to turn up for Nigeria.

Let's give credits when it is due. However there is still room for improvement especially is it has to do having a solid football structure domestically.
I do quite appreciate the efforts he's made and that's why I never criticised him giving publicity to his stunts. It's just that sometimes we emphasise so much on foreign borns like I feel forgiveness does it makes me indifferent.

grin okay my brother.
Ogbeche had a good run years later. but anyways, let's focus on the Benin match

Mujtahida:

Not sure this is meant for me. However let me say that I have never been good with numbers and when I started watching football the only stats that we had on our minds were the goals and quite later on the prize of a player. So making the switch to follow stats that look at tackles, passes, blocks, interceptions etc as is the norm today is difficult for me. I no kukuma like numbers.

Seems the Benin forward dived and was booked a second time.
Koukpo Marcellin has been sent off for a second bookable offence.

foreign-borns or foreign-breds don't get a free pass. They still have to face the competition in the SE.
it's not a sin to get them to choose Nigeria. But playing for Nigeria now and in the long run, they have to earn it. No one is giving them a free pass.
