the year enyimba won the champions league they had the best players in the league from the goal keeping to the striking department, no matter thow bad a team prepare or disorganised they are, if you have quality players it will definitely show in the way you play.

Striker Tammy Abraham has stated his desire to have an international career with England following reports of interest from Nigeria.

London-born Abraham, on loan at Swansea from Chelsea, has played for England Under-21s but has a Nigerian father.

And the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) were thought to be keen to recruit the 19-year-old.

However, Abraham said: "I have informed The FA that I remain available for selection for England."

He continued: "Contrary to reports in the media I would like to clarify that I have not agreed to switch my national team allegiance.

"I can confirm I met the President of the NFF after our last game against Tottenham at Wembley on Saturday given he is a friend of my father.

"However, any suggestion that I have made a decision to change my international representation is incorrect and wide of the mark."

His words will be welcomed by Swansea boss Paul Clement, who believes he would be better off remaining with England.

"Hopefully he stays with the English national team," Clement said.

"I'm not sure if he'd be better off career-wise - I'm saying it because I'm English and he's a good English talent, so you want him involved in the national team.

"From my point of view, there will be no influence from me.

Chelsea wing-back Victor Moses, Arsenal midfielder Alex Iwobi and Reading striker Sone Aluko are among those to have represented England at youth level before switching to play senior international football for Nigeria.

Two goals in seven Swans games

Abraham joined Swansea from Chelsea on a season-long loan in the summer and has scored two goals in seven appearances for the Welsh club.

"I haven't spoken to him about that [interest from Nigeria]. I will ask him at some point, but I've got more pressing issues to deal with at the moment than that," said Clement.

"Ultimately it's the decision of the player. In some cases they'll make the choice because they see a better opportunity, a chance of playing more regularly at international level.

"In other cases, it's because it's where they believe they're from, representing the country where they were born or where their parents were born and it's in their culture.

"Whatever their reasons are, it's down to the player to decide."

Tammy's career has always been about goals at every level from the youth teams to The English U-19s to English U-21s to The English Championship and now in the EPL on loan at modest Swansea... Lad is goals himself. If Rashford had his goal scoring stats they will call him Pele.... lol...


Rashford has done okay to make the headlines... nothing spectacular of note. When Nacho was even bossing things as the EPL's deadliest forward, the English Media didn't talk much about it. They just turned their eyes but if that was Rashford... my goodness... hyperbole would have been redefined. #Fact

So since The English got Rashford... they got nothing to worry about naa... this just shows their hypocrisy.

P.S: Dele Alli na special case. England lacks a good CAM now outside Alli.... even Barkley is dual national (has some Nigerian blood thru his granny i think) but is more English and Alli trumps him. Since Lampard and Gerrard retired... no other midfielder comes close to their quality except Alli. So the English had no choice and Alli will surely keep shining for England... in fact he is their best player before you name Harry Kane sef.

The minute you agree to play internationally for any country, you are fully from there. Dele Alli is as fully English as Iwobi and Moses are fully Nigerian

Please, never mention Dele as an example in this kind of thing.

And once again, Rashford's hype is because he is fully English. Tammy BROKE A RECORD in the Championships last season, do you think he would have been sent on loan if he was fully English? Has Rashford broken any record anywhere?

If Tammy was Fully British, he would have been USHERED into Chelsea's first team this season and nobody would buy Morata. The press would have slaughtered Conte for sending him out on loan

Dele Alli could have played for us - there was that option and him opting to represent the English football team doesn't automatically cut off his Nigerian roots.



Don't forget, Conte had to get rid of Costa and went on to bring Morata and sent about 28 others on loan.

With Chelsea, I can't really say much about the politics involved. How many players, Tammy's age are in the Chelsea team at the moment. Conte doesn't really fancy giving youth players that much opportunity to showcase themselves, at least with what I've seen so far.

PS: I never said Rashford was better than Tammy, I said Rashford had done just enough to trend in the press.
