Edakun eyin eyan mi, egbami ooo (my people pls come to my aid)... I went for my medicals today and the lady doctor I saw asked among all other questions if I have done any surgery before and I answered YES. Only for her to tell me to go get medical report from where I had d surgery. See me see trouble ooo. Na LUTH and health workers are currently on strike. She said its important I get it else they might not be able to forward my medical report to IRCC. Though I was given d e-medicals form to upload and submit my eAPR but I might not get 'medical passed' after AOR on time if I don't come with LUTH report. Pls, has anybody been in this type of situation before and how was it resolved. I have contacted LUTH and I've been asked to submit an application letter requesting that I need report but was told it won't be processed until health workers resume. Except I really know right 'buttons to press' before I can get it say in 2-4wks. Pls, anyone here that can help with 'pressing of buttons' abeg come to my aid. Sorry for the plenty talk. Thank y'all in advance 1 Like |

My Ielts journey- To urge someone on. LRSW 1st attempt 8/6.5/7.5/7.5 2nd attempt 8.5/6.5/7/7 At this point I was upset with the test and just registered again and ofcourse the result was even worse.Seemed like I was retrogressing instead.I became discouraged. 3rd attempt 7.5/6.5/8/6.5 At this point I realised it was no play affair.i took time off work to prep. 4th Attempt 8.5/6.5/8.5/7.5 I was defeated and broken and began to have doubts about my Canadian aspirations and the possibility that the Canadian dream may not be for everyone(Me). It seemed my prayers were not being answered. This time, I didn't rush to register. I read Kontagious post about his experience with the test. His post relieved some of the disappointment. I read Bigfido's post of success after 7 attempts and I was encouraged not to give in to defeat yet. I consequently applied and paid for remark(against my better judgement but I was thinking it may be a technical glitch. I mean it's weird right, 6.5 in reading 4 times). About 3 days after the application for remark, I got a call from the test administrator from BC asking to meet me. I went and he listening to me and explained to me that he assessed my answer sheet and what I was awarded was really my score. He wanted me to make a cautioned choice for the remark.I sighed and withdrew the EOR. I registered again for ielts leaving enough time to practice. All the materials I got from this platform were great. 5th Attempt 8/8.5/8/7 God's mercy found me. My Crs has moved address from 395 to 449. All praise to God. 50 Likes 1 Share |

Good day housePlease I need your advice seriously.Me and my husband Ielts result came out todayMine -LRWS 8.5,7,7,7.5Husband- LRWS 9,9,6.5,7. first attempt (7.5,7.6.6.5)I am apply as PA because of the result, I am not sure of which of his result that I will use because we are thinking of remarking his writing in the latest result.if I use his latest result, we got 437if I use the previous one we got 433But with the current draw, 437 is safer. My question is that should we use the 433 and apply for remark or 437?The second Part is that I don't have upto 3years experience. Now we are thinking of claiming 3years saying that I started teaching when I was schooling, is that advisable? Please I need your advice please..will they confirm from where I work by coming or calling?thanks |

Considering going through this route, just to confirm, please will using IDP give same target scores with IELTS 8777 in lrws? Thanks Not sure i got your point but it is the same IELTS exam and grade is the same from 1-9. You will be awarded whatever your mark is. But they only have center in Lagos for now i guess. |

teeboy95: @ Teeboy95, you will need to create a new express entry profile. Note that you would have automatically gone back into the pool if you had rejected the ITA on or before the 90days deadline. Best wishes. 1 Like |

This is serious, please what hospital is this? Why do they need a report of your surgery. Maybe it depends on the type of surgery done? I really pray the strike is called off quickly o. sleekysilk: |

Ekinado: Madam! Please don't go astray. You always need a lie to cover up another, so please don't start. My opinion on this, if the 437 is with the "correct" 2 years experience, please use it asap. You will most likely get an ITA by the next draw which should be between 2 - 3 weeks. You also have six (6) weeks to submit a request for remark, so waiting for 2-3weeks for a draw is a well calculated risk. Note that you can no longer use the Ielts result once you submit it for remark. Best of Luck. 5 Likes |

Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by Blackbuddy: 8:05pm On Sep 22, 2017 |
Jugdement: This is sound advice. You only need a minimum of 1 year work experience to be considered for EE, you don't need to have 3 years just to claim maximum points. As pointed out, if with 2 years experience you have 437 points total, you're better off than a lot of people and should be in the pool awaiting the blessing of a favorable draw soon. Please don't 'help your destiny' by 'amending' your work experience/personal history, it never works out well and the possible penalty is 5 years ban for misrepresentation. All the best ahead. 2 Likes |

Thats a serious one! We deal with a lot of artificial disaster in this our dear country. From ECA delayed by ASUU strike to Medicals stalled by Doctors strike. Why will people not be desperate to leave this country Abeg people, for the ones that have passed through the medicals, does the same thing happen to every applicant who has had surgery befor? I had a minor surgery last year, should I go and start begging for report? Please help! sleekysilk: |

manlikegb: You most definitely can..However to be honest with you i'm not so sure if the EOR will improve your wife/hubby's results to an appreciable level to get a decent CRS score. What i would advise is to go for the EOR and then let her/him prepare to take the IELTS again and to focus on the Listening and Reading as the results tend to indicate those as an area of challenge. All the best in your application 2 Likes |

Yewwygraceful: Na Consultant practice oo. Type of surgery na myomectomy. It's not as if what they're asking for is too much, its just unfortunate that it's a federal government hospital involved. Doctors have resumed though, but other health workers are still on strike. (Medical records, case file handlers etc) and the procedure in getting the report sef no be beans. Pls, anybody that can help me 'press button' biko epp me |

manlikegb: Yes, it's possible to help spouse pick up. Just get him/her to write an authorisation letter and also go with his/her international passport plus your own means of ID. And for the EOR, I don't know how d form looks like but in case there's anywhere meant for the applicant to sign ensure your spouse appends his/her signature before leaving home and don't forget your 15k bank draft as well. 1 Like |
