eBiamoz:Seems you didn't read the post you quoted. I already answered that question. You will "package " the application by reviewing all your applications and if you lied in any, you come clean this time and state the lies you told because it is rare for a person with an OK travel history as yours to be refused over and over. And unless you come clean, the VOs won't tell you why but keep refusing you 1 Like |

Sorry about the refusal Jubril Tell your bro to visit some of the other countries mentioned by poozee. Preferably not a Muslim state ( no personal bias. Just to make it clear it was a vacation and not a religious thing) and not a visa free state. Then reapply after like 6 months. The time frame is to show he isn't jobless or hankering after the US like a desperado. Pele 3 Likes 1 Share |

Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by Sparkzl: 12:04pm On Sep 23, 2017 |
oludharey: That is not true at all. A lot of people have different motives behind there travelling to UAE. I personal know White American citizen who visited Dubai this summer for holiday. Lots of people in UK and USA visit Dubai. It's a tourist attraction. Aside from getting favored, I personally believe those Vo's have their reservations. Be bold Go there looking onfidence Dress well Answer questions looking at the Vo The moment you walk in, Comport yourself and pray for favour. I just believe it's all favour. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

borryworld: didnt ask him to neglect his religious obligations. I asked him rather to go on a tourist journey simplicita. To create a history of "loving to vacation " so the US won't be his first casual " I wanna go enjoy trip" Remember this is my opinion. Based on my way of thinking. He's free to disregard. And you are free to advice him with YOUR OWN INDEPENDENT opinion kind sir/ma 2 Likes |

I have read almost 80 pages of this thread starting from the part one and must confess I have learnt a lot. However I still have a few worries. I'm an international medical student and currently opting to about a year + of clinical rotations in the US. I have the stamps of a few Carribean countries and that of the UK and looking at applying back home in Nigeria at the US embassy. Usually the rotations last 72 weeks but the visa required is the B1/B2. I'm confused as how I can convince the VO of my ties to home. Mimd you am single and my immediate family still lives in Nigeria. I'm also confused how to explain to the Consular that the length is 72 weeks when you are only allowed 6 months at a time. I understand I have to leave every 6 Months tho... but at loss of the best way to break it down for them.... I just wanna be as honest as possible. ALL ADVICE WILL BE WELCOMED.... You all are doing an amazing job |

Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by Nobody: 6:25pm On Sep 23, 2017 |
Hello Samantha111 - Let me point you to part of the FAQ from travel.state.gov, relating to a refusal under section 214(b) (bold mine). We will look at ties you have to Nigeria and to other countries outside the US. I have issued visas to Nigerian applicants who are long term residents of other countries, based on their strong ties to those countries. They had sufficient ties that I was convinced they were not intending to remain unlawfully in the US. https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/general/denials.html "What are considered strong ties to my home country? Ties are the various aspects of your life that bind you to your home country. Strong ties vary from country to country, city to city, and person to person, but examples include: Your job; Your home; and/or Your relationships with family and friends. While conducting visa interviews, consular officers look at each application individually and consider the applicant's circumstances, travel plans, financial resources, and ties outside of the United States that will ensure the applicant’s departure after a temporary visit." Am new on NL, I have some issues and would appreciate been helped. 1. After Submitting the ds 160 form and your choice of embassy was Lagos can you change it to Abuja? if yes, how? 2. I am to go for leave from 6th of November and that's what i filled as intending date of travel i have submitted my ds 160 form though haven't paid visa fee at the bank also after submitting the form i discovered that a digit was omitted in my work phone number. 3. I discovered on trying to book for an interview date that the possible appointment date fell on the 6th November (my intended travel date) for the Lagos Embassy while am seeing 12th October for Abuja Embassy. I was hoping to get a date earlier before the date of my leave or change it to a latter date. please, how do i go about it? Lady G and all the gurus in the house help me out. |

jubrilar: At the first bolded doesn't seem like a joke to me though, dunno why he asked. @the travel history bolded oftentimes indicates a fake discovery or something not just summing up as per the claimed travel history and instant end of interview with a refusal, I stand to be corrected anyways, but this has a couple of times been the case. 1 Like |

Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by Nobody: 9:00am On Sep 24, 2017 |
Hello OmoBendel24 - The vast majority of the time we do not ask for or read invitation letters, or pay much attention to who has invited an applicant. Because of this, in many circumstances, your hypothetical would not be viewed adversely. However, sometimes we do look at who has invited you, sometimes we may run their name through our databases. We are interested in your ties, not the ties of someone else. If there is something about the relationships between yourself and the person who has invited you and the person previously invited who has misused their visa which suggests to us that your ties may not be very strong, i.e. that you may also misuse a visa, that will definitely be viewed adversely.
