Please i will like to have my surname changed because i have been using my stepfather`s name since my primary school and the name appear on all my documents now. I have my passport done in Abuja in 2012 after losing my previous passport to robbers. My present passport will expire this month and i have never used it as all the pages are blank and new. Please will like to know how much is going to cost me to do the change of name, and can it be done here in Lagos or i will need to go to Abuja? Thanks

In 2010, I had my passport done for me (I was in secondary school then). The passport expired in 2015 (I never used it), and now, I want to do a renewal. However, there is a complication. I use the first name "Timilehin" on all my academic documents and registrations. The first name written on the passport is "Oluwatimilehin". This is a problem, as I use the shorter form, "Timilehin" everywhere else.

So now, I need to renew my passport, and I also want to change the "Oluwatimilehin" to "Timilehin".

1. Please what is the procedure for changing it and renewing?
2. How much will it cost?
3. How long will it take?
4. For people familiar with postgraduate matters, can I use the passport with "Oluwatimilehin" like that, even though all my other documents have "Timilehin"?

Hello bro! As per the change of DOB on my passport, I've already done my capturing last two weeks ago (08/05/2018) in Abuja, up till this moment I haven't heard anything from the officer handling the job. I paid 260k for it excluding hotel bills and all in Abuja.

I just want to be sure how long it takes to get the passport as what I need it for is due for the second week of June, I'm only worried I might not get it Before then.

Pls I need to be well guided on this subject matter.

I got married and blessed with a son, I am about to go obtain the birth certificate for my son @ National Population Commission (NPC) but I need clerification on the following

1. I want that my son birth certificate to bear my NAME as his SURNAME & and not my Father's name as his surname
E.g My Name: MANDY, West (Where MANDY is my Surname and West is my Name)
My son proposed name: WEST, Albert (Whereby WEST will be his Surname & Albert will be his First Name)

QUESTION: I hope this will not create problem for me or him in the nearest future if I want to file travel documents for him to join me wherever I am

Mind you our marriage certificate bears my father's surname I.e. MANDY
