Pictures on his tweeter handle, wrote, “I am excited to see the biodiversity @Yankari Games Reserve. Conservation pays. We hope more animals come.’’ - Bauchi State Governor The WCS also tweeted, “Such an exciting discovery, leopard recorded by WCS camera trap in Yankari.’’ John Umar’s main duty as a ranger at the Yankari Games Reserve in Bauchi State is to ensure that no harm comes to the animals there, especially from marauding poachers. His job and that of other rangers in the reserve has been aided by hidden cameras that the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) installed in collaboration with the authorities. https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/how-discovery-of-leopard-is-changing-yankari-s-story.html# Mynd44 Lalasticlala 2 Likes

That's no tiger. Tigers have stripes. That's a leopard or a jaguar. |

No wonder they fail at spotting the right animals and declare them extinct ignorantly. That's a leopard now. Not tiger. 1 Like |

Reptyle:that isnt a jaguar but leopard. A jaguar is a leopard that lost its skin pigmentation due to genetic issues. All jaguars are leopards but not all leopards are jaguars. |

Unlike some of our brothers down south, a mantee is a good meat for October 1 celebration. In delta state, an ape was butchered when a mini zoo can be built for it. I think this is the third mantee killed in bayelsa this year alone. One thing we should realise is that we will only overcome hunger when we reason beyond our stomach, when we refuse to satisfy that urge for instant gratification. We can only be wealthy when we see money beyond a means for living ostentatiously. 2 Likes |

The major thing the North need to do to develop their region is to stop religious extremism; stop violence and become more liberal to non-islam activities. They have the land for big factories, industries and farms. They have human capacity, the have solar energy but until they become more liberal and stop living under the ideologies of Usman Dan Fodio and more especially, forget Niger Delta Oil, they won't leave their present state. They are truly blessed over there yet the richest Northerners are those that oil wells. Bauchi state govt is really trying in their Tourism aspect. 3 Likes |

lomprico:u are not totally correct. It is true that Jaguars are only found in south America. It is also true that jaguars are a type of leopard whose genes for the patches or spots on a normal leopard became recessive. I have watched a documentary on natgeowild on it and I read it again online just to make sure I dont come online to talk trash before I posted my comment. U should also do d same thing. Do research. 1 Like |
