Hello guys pls i need your advise on Toyota Camry 2007 hybrid Tokunbo ride, do you advise i go for it, If the response is a yes, then is the hybrid battery available in Naija and at what price. Also if its a no please educate me better. Thanks guys. |

Buying a hybrid is nice for obvious fuel consumption savings but it's a risky venture to secure a good mechanic as well as the astronomical cost of replacing the hybrid battery when it goes bad. 1 Like |

Hybrid cars are very good based on the fuel consumption, but u may be lucky and unlucky at times.. my brother have been driving 07 Camry hybrid for 4 years now with no issue while a friend bought civic hybrid and he replaced the battery for 280k within 1 year... so it's luck but better of u get the normal engine . engeen: Toyota Camry 2007 Hybrid is a good car, but I doubt the makers had the Nigerian Market in Mind when they made it. Its parts happen to loosen very easily in rough terrains( like 90% of all the roads in Nigeria.) Especially if it has been used for sometime in smoother terrains(aka tokunbo). The car is quite fast and it is rare so,it commands respect. Also, the battery of a brand-new one may last very long and when its time to replace, you can buy a new one for about #320,000 plus installation. Or you could just call Kazeem to patch it up for #37,000; he is most assuredly gonna leave with a smile, cos you're gonna be calling him again within the next 45days. Don't be discouraged tho, there a lots of other cars that command the same level of respect and style and still thrive in Nigeria like they were assembled for Lagos. And maybe even cheaper.
