Its been a while i came on here!!! Congrats to everyone who has moved up a notch in their journey! IELTS, ECA, FBI, PPR, COPR et al.

I finally got my FBI report in the nick of time!!! phew!!!!! Those people need to fear God! I almost didnt meet up with my submission deadline. After my report was mailed out by FBI, USPS decided to dance on my report for almost a week Anyway, it ended in praise! I submitted just 2 days before my deadline, so now i have officially joined the PPR waiting game. Ive decided to just throw myself to work fully so that my heart does not enlarge from anxiety!

Hello chybaz, there is no secret, I used mainly Cambridge 1-10 for listening and reading, IELTS Liz for tips and E2 language for writing tips as well. For speaking (did this just a night before the test day) I used the topics on IELTS Liz.

I would advice you practice well, practice, practice till it becomes second nature. When you start getting 38/40 and above for speaking and listening, practice some more.

Most importantly, ask God for favorable exams, pray the prayer to St Joseph too.

Hello house, I just visited the Saskatchewan Immigration Nominate program website (for the first time) to get information but discovered that the program for skilled immigrants is closed for now. please any idea when it will be reopened?

Also, I saw on the website that if you are from an English speaking country, it not compulsory to submit an English proficiency exam score but you won't get points for that. is it really compulsory to do the test.

Note that I have a family member there.

Without points for language, u may not meet the eligibility criteria 60/100 of their PNP points grid. Besides, you need ielts for express entry if you plan to use the 600 points frm nomination to get ITA. Saskatchewan PNP usually opens periodically without any notice . I think you can open an application once you have the requirements but will only be able to submit whenever they open again. Whenever they open you may likely hear on this thread.

it is likely. when i first sat for IELTS in benin about 3yrs ago, the invigilators told me they took a flight from Abuja and pleaded i sit for my speaking a day earlier as they needed to reduce the number of folks scheduled for the day of their return flight. Not saying this means Benin is under Abuja but it isnt impossible. if its still a matter, i could ask when i go for my Test on wednesday.

Really grateful for your response. My husband is the PA and I think he had about 75points (I can't really remember now but above 60) when he checked. That's why I wanted to know if it's still very necessary to do the test.

Mehn, cic has dumped my file in London vo and instead of me getting frustrated I have removed my mind from cana and focusing on other things!

I am in ip2 and 206 days post aor, I nor be terrorist, I worked in the places I claimed, have verifiable travel hx. . So I think problem is just with the London office and their habit of delay!

I have called cic severally, even d cic officers dey bow for London vo they can't do anything. I have raised several cse and no better reply! I have also emailed London vo, those once didn't even bother to reply back!

So for now, that's what's up, when dem ready, I dey here....lol

I tried the TEF route but couldn't get the additional 30points. It depends on your proficiency level. If you are about B2 Delf/Dalf, den you just need little brush-up/revision. But you can still try. CLB 5 which is about B1, gives you a max of 15 points for second language.

Benin is under Abuja, their exam Reg is being handled by Abuja. It's there on their site.

Dear Seniors,

I have a question about WES verification email they always send to schools. For some schools, they never see these mails and they often advise one to pay WES to send a physical certificate for verification. Now my questions:
1. From the very onset, can i just go to the school and get a "certified true copy" stamp on the photocopy of my certificate (or stmt of result) and send along side the transcript (to save cost) to WES
2. Assuming i did not do #1 above, i faxed my credential to WES and they finally say they have contacted my school for verification of which some schools never see such mails, can i revert to option #1 to continue the process. OR
3. Must I go the very expensive route of pleading with WES to send hard copy (about $100) to the school and the pay for courier again to send verified copy back to WES.

Veterans in the house, pls help me out. I am in a small dilemma as we speak, i had followed option #2 above and my school just confirmed they don't even have email yet WES confirmed my file has been placed on hold until school responds.
