Hope you spoke well? Wish you success

mehn, i got tensed in part 2 cry. dont know what came over me. i think i even had about 20 seconds left, wasnt up to my average performance. the other sections were fine, i started part 1 well and managed to get a hold of myself in part 3.

my last attempt was an 8 in speaking, and i had a similar experience but cant say if it was as bad. Nonetheless, I really do hope it doesnt slip below 7.5.. my tentative CRS with max IELTS is a borderline one, so i really need a minimum of 7.5. Thanks for asking.

BTW many thanks to merrymum, chomiepedia and all those who replied my enquiries on UNN transcript verification. was able to pull through using your answers. WES has acknowledged receipt, got it done by myself for 10k as against the 25k my contact was demanding for. Thanks alot.

Please when did you use IQAS for your evaluation? Has it been long?
You said they don't require any further confirmation. Is it that they don't need further verification like WES that can keep one's evaluation for ages all in the name of waiting for verification from institution?
IQAS has turned to tortoise ooo. They will acknowledge your transcript like 1 month after dhl delivers it and will take 9-10weeks to complete your evaluation. Unless WES wont give you a good equivalent, NO near IQAS yen

You can check the province individuals websites. Some of them absorb without job offers, especially Ontario, Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Check on them and see their requirements.

Thank you.

Good morning lovely people,

Please I have few question/clarifications:

1. I evaluated MSc only for spouse and I. Do we need to list educational history from secondary to Bsc and then Msc?

2. POF is in spouse name. However, I am the PA. Can we use it?

3. Spouse has over 10 years experience with just a single organisation. Although, he has passed through different departments. Do we specify various job position/dept he has been in the EE or just his current one.

4. I have an employer's reference letter dated June, 2017. Can I still make use of it ( hoping for ITA in the next draw). Also, they requested for an address ( they do not issue 'to whom'), I provided CIC Toronto, Ontario address - Pls is this in order?

Thank you all.

Hi Einsteino,

Surely, you'd pass your test with the desired scores.

My 1st speaking is what I'd term a disaster, I didn't speak for 2 minutes during the part 2. I was tensed for a better part of the whole speaking test. Result came and I scored 7.5

2nd test, I was too confident. Examiner had a couple of short laughs with clear smiles here and there, she stopped me in part 2 plus a few other questions. Result came and I scored 7!

I will not accept the argument that I used a wider range of vocabulary or I spoke more fluently in my first attempt. I couldn't have been tensed and be using high end vocab not to even mention the me all of a sudden stuttering and saying thank you where not needed.

I remember well I was worried about my speaking in the 1st attempt and listening in the 2nd. Both components came out with desired scores. How I got 8 in listening remains a mystery. If they did the adjustment as discussed here, God bless them, if it was solely my effort, all thanks to God.

In all, relax, breathe and prepare for Saturday's bout. You will triumph.

1.) BSc and MSc should be in order.

2.) Yes you can. You may also add a consent letter from you spouse stating he's authorizing the use of the account/funds.

3.) Since you are the PA, please save yourself stress of adding his employment history. Just simply leave it in his personal history. You wouldn't even need to state the department there.

4.) If the letter is from a past employer, yes. If not, simply request a new one. For the address, use;
Central Intake Office (CIO)
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)
Sydney, Nova Scotia
Canada.

The #3 up there applies post ITA. Simply select No when asked if he has work history in your EE Profile.

CAstruggle:
If you are not happy with your IELTS score, you can apply for an Enquiry on Results Service (EOR) ie Remarking through the IELTS Administrator at the British Council centre where you sat for your exam. The cost for Standard IELTS remark is NGN15,000 payable by Banker's draft addressed to British Council. You will also need to fill the EOR form at BC office and submit your original Test Report Form.

This procedure takes six to eight weeks from the date your scripts are received by the Senior Examiners in the UK. Giving consideration to the travel time to and from the UK, it may take ten(10) weeks from the date of your payment for the Enquiry on Result service.

If your score increases after the EOR you will receive a new Test Report Form and the EOR cost will be refunded. Therefore, keep your payment receipt with care as this is required to give refund. If your score remains the same original Test Report Form will be returned to you.

Please note that during the period of re-marking the test results are frozen and cannot be sent to an immigration authority.

Thanks a lot, already on it

@Kontagious,

Thank you for the response. All points noted.

For #1, pls note we both did not evaluate Bsc, does it matter?

The reference is from a past employer, it has been issues since June, 2017 with the Toronto address. Do I request another pls?

So if I understand your response to #3, his current job detail is fine?

Thanks

Transcripts delivers by DHL - July 28
Acknowledgement of transcripts mail - Aug 27
ECA - Sept 13
ECA mail- Sept 20th

So I guess the 9-10 weeks processing time is from when your transcripts was received. They Re just so lYe in sending the acknowledgement email.

Disclaimer: yet to fill an express entry profile

However, Environmental Science is applied science in my opinion
I graduated with a degree in Architecture. I had electives from the other disciplines as listed. They all seem to me as applied science.
If none of the options in the drop down in the EE profile builder doesn't add up. I'll advise you stick with "applied science"
Again most courses in applied science are professional disciplines
Please see the attachment if it helps

Got to learn later on that Environmental Science degree is under unit group title 2 "natural and applied sciences and related occupations" in the NOC category. So that is the category to look out for in the drop down menu.
