A federal government road linking two states shouldn't be in such terrible state. It has been like that for years, the government can't claim they're not aware. 2 Likes |

"Bad state" is an understatement. That road is dead and no longer montorable under standards. Even a range rover would never remain the same after plying that road. |

This Road has been in a bad state for a very long time I decide to follow that road to abeokuta recently, After spending 5 hours on the road, i had to turn back because there was so much damage on the car and i did not even get to sagamu and even more frustrating i was a brand new car. Ended up with broken bumpers, lost front mud guards and under engine cover. |

surgecom: At Op, this road is worse than this pics you posted, and it is so bad down to sagamu, the ogijo end of it is a dead trap with trucks carrying containers falling on a regular basis. I onced posted the video to one of the special advisers to Ambode, and this road has been like this since last year, Winners chapel came to the rescue last year and I learnt they were fined. This is an industrial area and a major federal road with so many steel industries, this government is not serious. |

this road no be here o, from sabo down to sagamu na hell. this morning on my way to work na guinness truck turn crates of stouts for road last month is it Coca-Cola and goldberg, i can't even start counting containers falling weekly, danfos buses and the rest being damage on that road. ikorodu to ogijo is just like 25mins but you will spend 2hrs cuz of this portion and the one after laspotech and odoguyan and PZ own dey dere. this is a federal road built even b4 lagos/ibadan expressway with lots of heavy duty companies on the route (odoguyan and ogijo industrial estates) just so sad successive government left the road like this |

wallex1983: God bless u. I am sure Ogijo, phoenix and sagamu - papalanto roads would be among top 10 worst roads in Nigeria If a commuter passes through sagamu- Ogijo, odogunyan to ikorodu, He would have nightmare for the next one week and that road will definitely condemn his vehicle beyond repair. The title of this thread suppose to be; "See the Disturbing state of road linking ikorodu to sagamu" |

I don't need to be told how d road look like because I once lived in that area (precisely Itaoluwo area). From Itaoluwo to Ikorodu garage that is normally #70 to #100, turns to #150 to #200 due to the bad road and worse when raining.. But thank God I left that side since last year and now stay in Uyo, Akwaibom. At least I have escaped traffic and bad road prob... |

ikaboy: There is nothing in the 2017 federal budget for this road, it was stated as one of the roads for rehabilitation before 2019. This road has been like this for years, Lagos government can at least fix the Lagos end of the road, that was what Fashola did for some years when he was a governor, now as a minister and he knows better, I don't the problem, let's look at the slow pace of work at Lagos Ibadan express way, this government has been a hype. |

Haba...Kilo de! The state of the road is despicable...it's as if we are not paying tax. I have a suggestion. Why not give all the big companies in that area, that use that road majorly, tax holiday and ask them to reconstruct the road... 2 Likes |

Re: The Bad State Of Ikorodu To Sagamu Road by pizzlesbar: 11:15am On Sep 28, 2017 |
That road is the worst road in the whole of Lagos. And you have very important organizations / corporations on the road. Most of the iron recycling plants are on this road, Laspotech, PZ, NNPC, Portland Cement etc. The Lasma people are usually happy towing trailers and trucks that brakes down on the road. So I guess high revenue for them due to bad road. High volume of trailer/truck activities. God forbid I imagined that one day the government will only attend to this road when trailer kills say 50 persons. Around the winners area last year atlest 7 people died. Deaths occur frequently too. A lot of fatal accidents. I read somewhere that the FG via Special Intervention Fund allocated N2bn for rehabilitation and was suppose to commence September. http://blackboxnigeria.com/2017/01/31/fg-spend-2billion-ikorodu-sagamu-road/ |

[my brother na better talk u Yan so..@least governor ambode is tryin.. for example imagined where lagos will b in 5yr to come..Eko baje ti..]Our government thinks we are OK with bad things that's why they don't care. What will it cost a Federal and State government to fix all state and federal roads? If I were a governor today, I'll only concentrate on road construction, I don't care if that's the only thing I do for my state. Another governor that will succeed me can fix only Health Sector and so on... Instead of having so many abandoned projects.[/quote] |
