Brave it man. Always be patient with the network response. It may turn out to be part of loss from your side and if you are a regular NairaLander, you would have adhered to some basic rules, as not to combine religion, friendship, etc. in business ventures, always advised by various posters on this forum. Get closer to the person that sent her the money through you, that is where your solution lies. Thank me later, amen. ![grin](https://www.nairaland.com/faces/grin.png) 1 Like 1 Share |

You know her name so hound her on social media ![grin](https://www.nairaland.com/faces/grin.png) Post on her facebook wall that she is a thief and a scammer but don't put details. She will be the one to be explaining what happened and people will advice her to pay up udumosam23: I offer quickteller and agent banking services. A customer made a cash deposit, but during the transfer from my account to hers, there was network issue and i got a failure notice from my mobile app. I tried again and it was successful.
Latter i realised both transactions were succesful. I called her and she called the recipients who complained she is in hospital as at the time. So she gave me the number of the recipient to call her myself.
I did call her, and she told me she was still at the hospital, and though she acknowledged the double transfer, but her health comes first.
I sympathize with her situation and gave her time. I also prayed for her recovery (pls don't think it's because of the money, I'm a Christian).
After a week i called again and thankfully she has recovered, but she was harsh on me. She complained that was not the first time someone posted money wrongly to her account. And finally ask me to remove the money if i have a way of doing so.
I went to the bank to lodge the complain only to realise she has withdrawn all the money. She doesn't even use the account frequently and the address is very far from the East. Infact, she is at Illorin.
I thought of getting a court order as adviced against the account. But then the amount is small, just 30,000. Don't want to think about how much I'll begin to spend with a lawyer in a bid to recover that amount.
My bank also wanted to... (don't even know how they called that) to her account. But money doesn't even come frequently to the account.
I have thought of threatening her, but i have already given her the impression I'm a Christian.
Just thinking on how best to recover my small money without having to spend more than it.
I have also thought of letting go. But each time i do, i think of the amount as too big to dash a criminal. Besides, she said it wasn't the first time. Probably she went away with others, and if she go away with this too, she'll continue and encourage others to do same.
So please what do i do in this case, considering the fact that I'm at the east, and she west. 2 Likes |

If there is sincerity as claimed, the bank code for transfer is good enough to adopt at refunding the money. Except the Bank doesn't such short code like GTBank *737*........ |

OP instead of wasting your time with the lady Why not proceed after the sender whise details you have. Am sure by the time you harrass the person that initiated the transaction. He or she will find a way of making the fraudulent receiver refund your money within 48 hours |

bros you are wasting precious time!!! call the person who did the transfer to her and tell the person you are going to the police to make a complaint of theft against her (the person who came to you for the transfer) because for all I care there could be a connivance between them. if she can't compel her accomplice to return the money then she can as well do the python dance at the police station!! 1 Like |

I'm not a banking guru, but can i suggest that, since all personal accounts are linked with one unique Bvn number, an underground check can be done to know her other bank accounts and then your bank can lodge a complain to her active banker and they can both work together to get your money back.
Btwn: I'm not a banking guru, so I can't say for sure if this idea is feasible, but just give it a trial. If you have a friend in your bank, he can do that for you unofficially 1 Like |

udumosam23: Write a formal letter to your bank with details of the transaction and evidence of transfer seek help from them to help you liaise with the beneficiary bank to help you out. Ensure you have an an acknowledged copy. Also submit a letter to her bank so that they can contact her to give consent to refund the money to you. The banks may not be of help since the transaction was not initiated by them initially. But you have the social media to take your case to if no one want to assist because with the behavior of the lady she is ready to reap from where she didn't sow. No amount of gentleman plea will make her refund the money. publish all your her details you have, chats and the letters to the bank on social media. You may get the money back when the story trends online. |

I have had this kind of issue before. I advise that you visit the nearest FirstBank branch and provide the Account number of the customer which the transfer was made to or better still send an email with your account number and the recipients account number, date of transfer to their contact centre (firstcontact@firstbanknigeria.com) or their fraud desk. They will sure assist udumosam23: I offer quickteller and agent banking services.
