That's why 9ja is economically backward and we suffer in the mist of abundant gifts by the creator... Our borders are so porous...both land and sea!...else how did Boko haram ferry out over 300 schl girls out of the country then, we start negating for their release...all these happens everyday in the mist of many customs officers, police, sss, etc manning our borders.....other countries use their border security to make billions of foreign exchange money for their country... all this flash in the pan arrests has nothing to be celebrated upon until the custom and immigration is able to do what is needful of praise.. |

Folaoni: They're often used for many things. Here are some of the discriminate uses of ivories: (Copied directly from Quora) A lot of the smuggled ivory is used to make carvings. Some are also, more rarely used in scrimshaw, which is usually done on whale ivory. And of course, all the usual jewellery that people love, like necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches, amulets etc. Before the 1930s, the white keys on most pianos used to be made from ivory, or which one source was ivory from elephant tusks. This is because ivory is able to absorb perspiration well, so the keys tend not to stick to fingers when a person plays for long hours. You'll be relieved to know that most piano companies have long discontinued this practice of using ivory- piano keys today are usually made of plastic instead. The ancients had more practical uses for ivory and used it to make objects for daily use. For example, combs, horns (the kind that you can blow), and spear tips. https://www.quora.com/What-are-the-uses-of-elephant-tusks 1 Like |

sunnyb0b0:The average tusk of an adult African elephant is 1.5–2.4 m (5–8 ft) long and weighs around 23–45 kg (51–99 lbs). however, judging from the pictures, the weight for both tusks may have been slightly exaggerated. |
