Modified: I just read through the posts above. Your best bet is to keep toasting the woman. She may not be a dishonest person as suggested but some situations can make one become dishonest. If truly she had health issues, pls, give her some time. Maybe she exhausted the cash to look after her ailments.

This is what happened to a friend of mine. Bankers in the house can give you better advise though.

They will not flag any tin if op was the one that made the transfer 2ce, they will assume it's a deliberate act and have no right under code of conduct to infringe anyone's account indiscriminately. Except it was on their network issue part.
So op call, pray, text, beg her if she no gree, u move on cos if not u wil end up stressing ursef for nothing nd learn from it to b careful nxttime, observe how wicked pple can b nd decide not to take that part incase someone mistakenly transfers to u sef..

ur advise makes sense.
But things would work better to if no court order is required to get this done. A valid and verified customer complaint shud be enough to place an account on PND, at least until the accused shows up at the bank to clear herself.

Besides, more than the money, i want her and similar minded people to realise that it is a crime to keep a money wrongly posted to your account. No matter how much is involved.

You can explore the option at the bank. Hope for the best but be prepared for the worst. Even when you get court order and all those stuff, at the end of the day Nigerian banks will tell you story and you won't get the money. I have dealt with these kinds of issues with GT and UBA vs Zenith and nothing happened. I'm thinking of closing all accounts

whether you want to collect your money or you want the girl to be punished.
you have the following options.

Go to court for an order to trace her whereabout through her phone network provider and to trace her other accounts through her Bvm,which will be put on alert.
If you have gotten her details,After then,write to the police for her arrest in her state.

You can post her criminal act on social media with her details.

You can also write petition against her to EFCC,ICPC or POLICE, since you have her details.

You can hand it over to God since you are a christian.

PND simply means Pay No Debit. meaning the account can only accept credit but no debit transaction can be done on the account.

Make a formal complaint to EFCC or the IGP.
They will get her information from the Bank. Even the person who gave you cash may be asked to produce her friend.
It may take time, but at the end, you will recover your money.
Making a mistake by putting the money in her account does not give her the justification to withdraw it; that's Theft and she may go to jail for it.

I was defrauded hundreds of thousands of nairas last year, i sent copy of documentary evidence to efcc, special fraud unit, to the bank the swindler used to receive my money by transfer. My bank sent a call request to the bank but the bank said i need to report to police. Police only acknowledge my email. Its not easy like that bro.

There are just two steps. Get her residential address from the customer who approached you, serve her a letter of demand within 7 days or risk legal action, or write a petition against her and the customer. Once the police arrest the customer also, the woman will be produced.

I offer quickteller and agent banking services. A customer made a cash deposit, but during the transfer from my account to hers, there was network issue and i got a failure notice from my mobile app. I tried again and it was successful.

Latter i realised both transactions were succesful. I called her and she called the recipients who complained she is in hospital as at the time. So she gave me the number of the recipient to call her myself.

I did call her, and she told me she was still at the hospital, and though she acknowledged the double transfer, but her health comes first.

I sympathize with her situation and gave her time. I also prayed for her recovery (pls don't think it's because of the money, I'm a Christian).

After a week i called again and thankfully she has recovered, but she was harsh on me. She complained that was not the first time someone posted money wrongly to her account. And finally ask me to remove the money if i have a way of doing so.

I went to the bank to lodge the complain only to realise she has withdrawn all the money. She doesn't even use the account frequently and the address is very far from the East. Infact, she is at Illorin.

I thought of getting a court order as adviced against the account. But then the amount is small, just 30,000. Don't want to think about how much I'll begin to spend with a lawyer in a bid to recover that amount.

My bank also wanted to... (don't even know how they called that) to her account. But money doesn't even come frequently to the account.


I have thought of threatening her, but i have already given her the impression I'm a Christian.

Just thinking on how best to recover my small money without having to spend more than it.

I have also thought of letting go. But each time i do, i think of the amount as too big to dash a criminal. Besides, she said it wasn't the first time. Probably she went away with others, and if she go away with this too, she'll continue and encourage others to do same.

So please what do i do in this case, considering the fact that I'm at the east, and she west.

I made my bank flag her account. It took some time, but her husband mistakenly transfered some huge money meant for burial to the account.

They tried withdrawing but couldn't. The bank had to point out the case when she visited. So one faithful day I got a call to send my account number.
