You think it's easy to buy and hold?
You need guts and a very strong conviction to do that.
I remember how I felt when ci leasing reversed from 1.3 to 0.98. grin
I am not leaving this bus till the final result is out.
They are still with our interim dividend.

Thanks for this.

Guys I have been chasing my unpaid dividend with first registrars for many months now despite attesting to the fact that they have received all necessary documents from me.. last time I contacted them in early Aug they said it would "soon" be paid ... What avenue is available to investors to escalate such matters ? SEC? pls advise

You can chat them up (they have an online chat service) or call them. You mean you last contacted in August? Call them. They have never failed to attend to my queries. Like my Yoruba brothers will say "Pe iya won" (call their mama) grin cheesy grin

I am in the same shoe with you.
They are very useless at first registrars.
I had to submit e dividend form twice with 2 different banks when they claimed they did not see the first one.
I have called them and they acknowledged they have received it..
Almost a month now and they are yet to pay me. I have mailed them but they are not responding to my messages again.
If there is somebody I can report them to, I will gladly do that.

FCMB will surely get to that price it's a matter of time,

In addition we should prepare our minds and be ready for the mother of all BEARS come OCT/NOV.

I'm sure that is the same lady who told me about 2 months ago that, "all dividends have been paid through DIVIDEND WARRANTS". Yet no warrant till date. I think first registrars is joking with investors.

After 6months the warrant will be returned back in case you didn't receive it then you can visit them or call them so that they can pay u directly to your account

Why pay through warrants when you paid previous years dividends via edividend mandates? Something fishy there. How many investors will visit their office, you think everybody lives in Lagos?

Five Investment Tips as culled from today's Business Day newspaper....

Gather information as much as possible about ALL companies that you have investments in. Information is power in the capital market. Monitor newspapers and company websites. Let the business papers be your best friend. Read company commmunication and analysts' view of companies you have investments in. They will be the first source of good or bad news.

2. Study trends. Share price movements are usually about trends and just as history repeats itself, share price trends tend to repeat trends. At the first hint of good news, most stocks with strong fundamentals will hit their 12 months high again in a bullish after falling from their high bearish market.

3. Gut feeling matters. It is not unusual to have a good feeling about a certain stock. This is usually called a gut feeling. Analysts in the stock markets will usually tell you not to ignore this gut feeling. In some cases, you may be right, but your gut feeling should always be reinforced with information.

4. Never invest in impulse. Investing in shares IS A SERIOUS BUSINESS (emphasis mine). You can make good money or lose it. Think through every investment decision and weigh carefully the information on which that investment is to be made to ensure that it is accurate, timely and relevant.

5. To increase your chances of making a smart investment decision, talk to independent financial analysts and not just your stockbroker or investment banker. Sometimes, YOUR STOCKBROKER OR INVESTMENT BANKER MAY HAVE A VESTED INTEREST IN A STOCK OR INVESTMENT THAT THEY ARE PUSHING.

6. Happy Investing... grin

That's strange then. Did you draw their attention to the this? What was the response? My dealings with them has always been smooth. Please call them to sort this out. Count 1 to 20 before calling and make sure you smile throughout grin (you won't be able to raise your voice cheesy )
