if I am right, I believe it was a stupid own goal against Barcelona in a friendly, that made Celtic fans call for his head. He dropped to lower team, Hibernian, had several MOTM awards if i'm not mistaking and help them to the top tier. Since then he's been a regular. Did Ambrose ever show a loss of form? I stand to be corrected.

Or mabye we should consider a couple of our CB's from WAFU(?).

WAFU CB?watching d final Eze let me down after Adeleye got injured,so no go area.

Ambrose getting MOTM in lower Scottish league not a big deal and also a regular in Hilbernia don't fancy me.

I don't reckon with Scottish league,so i don't see his form in d league as a way for national recall.

My concerns is Awaziem making d grade and Omeruo getting his fitness back.

If Wilshere was at Bournemouth all those years, he would not have made the impact he made at Arsenal in his early years. It is simple logic you are trying to argue against.

The point is very simple. Nwakali is one of our most promising player and has a great potential. It will be wise to allow him train with the player he has the potential to replace.

There is no other player we have that has been identified in that role with better potential.

Your more deserving players will not take Venlo by storm over night.

So you agree with me. The argument has been, "for now". If Ambrose was still with Celtic you won't say that. But there is no evidence that he has dropped form. I'm not saying he Efe is above average , but at the moment, it's clear we don't have options. Awaziem latest performances in Ligue 1 can't be ignored.

meaning Taiye Taiwo can be recalled as back up for Echiejele due lack of availability in LB

Why do u keep bringing up Taiye Taiwo? Oya when was his last game with the super eagles? Efe Ambrose was a regular until Rohr came around and that was because he had a long spell without playing at celtic. Him and Leon Balogun were forming a strong partnership, remember they were the pair that we used to beat Cameroon 3 nil under Oliseh. Now that he is actually playing week in week out on a good team I don't see why he should not be considered when all u have in mind is Omeruo.

Two Foreign-Based Stars Withdraw From Zambia Squad Ahead Of Nigeria Clash
The Zambian national team have suffered a big blow ahead of their 2018 World Cup qualifying match against Nigeria, with two of the eleven foreign-based professionals called up for the tie withdrawing from the squad.

Platinum Stars ace Brian Mwila and K.V Oostende midfielder Emmanuel Banda can't participate in the game after failing to recover from injury, and coach Wedson Nyirenda has since replaced the duo with Power Dynamos midfielder Alex Ng’onga and Zesco United’s John Ching’andu.

Mwila endeared himself to Zambia fans after netting a brace in a 3-1 win over Algeria at the Heroes Stadium on September 2.

''Brian (Mwila) will not be part of the team as he had a recurrence of the injury he suffered during the Algeria game. It is best to give him time to fully recover,'' Team Doctor George Magwende said to Fazfootball.com.

The Zambia squad will leave for Accra, Ghana on Sunday, October 1 ahead of the meeting against Nigeria.

Updated Zambia Squad

Goalkeepers (3) : Kennedy Mweene (Mamelodi Sundowns-RSA), Toaster Nsabata (Zanaco), Allan Chibwe (Power Dynamos)

Defenders (6) : Simon Silwimba, Fackson Kapumbu (both Zesco United), Adrian Chama (Green Buffaloes), Stoppilla Sunzu (Arsenal Tula -Russia), Ziyo Tembo (Zanaco), Isaac Shamujompa (Power Dynamos)

Midfielders (11) : Chisamba Lungu (Allanyespor-Turkey), Edward Chilufya (Djurgårdens-Sweden), Donashano Malama (Nkana), Kondwani Mtonga, Misheck Chaila (both Zesco United), Augustine Mulenga (Zanaco), Enock Mwepu (FC Liefering), Roderick Kabwe (Cape Town Ajax), Ernest Mbewe (Zanaco), John Ching’andu (Zesco United), Alex Ng’onga (Power Dynamos)

EPL Wrap: Ndidi Nearly Scores, Iheanacho Subbed In, Ladapo Debuts, Moses Among Subs
A round-up of Nigerian players that were in action for their respective clubs in the English Premier League on Saturday, September 30.

Nigerian players with dual nationalities that have played competitively for the senior national teams of other countries have been omitted.

Leicester City were held to a goalless draw by Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium, with three Nigerian youngsters in action. Foxes number 25 Wilfred Ndidi logged ninety minutes and came close to scoring in the 78th minute but saw his volley deflected off target.

Kelechi Iheanacho and winger Jordon Ibe entered into the fray in the 69th minute for Leicester City and Bournemouth respectively.

It was another four-goal haul for Jose Mourinho's Manchester United against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.

Despite the big loss suffered by the Eagles, former Flying Eagles invitee Freddie Ladapo would be delighted to have made his first-team debut, 18 months after he joined the club. He was introduced in the 74th minute.

Romelu Lukaku became the first Manchester United player to score seven goals in seven games since Andy Cole back in 1995 when he found the net in the 86th minute. United's other scorers were Juan Mata and Marouane Fellaini.

At the The Hawthorns (West Bromwich), Watford fought back from two goals down to draw 2-2 with West Brom. Nigerian pair Isaac Success and Stefano Okaka were not in the Hornets 18-man squad.

Jose Salomon Rondon and Jonny Evans scored to put the Baggies 2-0 up, Abdoulaye Doucoure halved the deficit in the 37th minute before Richarlison netted a late equalizer in the fifth minute of stoppage time.

Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham was in action for the entirety of the game as West Ham earned a massive three points against Swansea City at the London Stadium, thanks to a late winner from Diafra Sakho.

In the late kickoff, Victor Moses is on the bench for the first time this season in Chelsea's clash versus Tosin Adarabioyo's Manchester City. The Manchester-born defender is not in the 18.

There is no 4th option for now.. We still have a lot of time before the world cup if we qualify.

I do not buy the calls for Efe. i think we should look at the option of Felix Uduokhai and Jordan.
