should I show you Pinto's trophy cabinet as well? Winning a lot of trophies with the team as a regular does not make you a legend. During that run, there were times when he was on the bench for Puyol, on the bench for Busquets(yes Busq played as the CB sometimes), on the bench for Batra etc etc, so he was a valuable part of the team but he wasn't irreplaceable. Remove Busquets from Barcelona and you have won the game, that is a legend

Ha. Pinto was not playing regularly. Mascherano was. Mikel was. Gerrit?

As if Busquets will play all the wings. You goofed not knowing Mascherano is a Barcelona legend. Know need to try to cover it with salad. cheesy

you said if you remove his Man City era then he has nothing. Well he has the champions league for Barca and an Afcon for CIV, so his own Afcon is different from Mikel's own?

the thing is YAYA'S IMPACT @Barca is nothing Compared to Mikel's IMPACT @Chelsea, if I was lucky to sit on Barca's bench during their champions league winning campaign I too will v a champions league medal. u get?

the IMPACT over a LONG PERIOD is what stood MIKEL out. yes MIKEL won the Afcon before YAYA.

another thing, Mikel SURVIVED over 13 managers in one team before Conte came, but YAYA in his prime lost out under only the 3rd manager. Mikel survived different philosophies even when he was in form, out of form, inside form, on top of form he was always innit.

Thank you for your exceptional point. Even though Giggs did not cross over to do it in the International stage, his longevity which spans almost two decades raises his status to legendary because Giggs did it for so long at a very high level.

Thanks man.

He can't just add it Noni... I'm Very sure he would have tried it too... Rather than killing himself on things he doesn't have...
Then he focus on his strength which are:
Dribbling
Passing
Concentration

That's his selling port. And he is not doing bad.. Seriously...

You can't have it all and we need to respect that...

Mikel is a great guy... Nigeria need him more than he needs Nigeria...
one of our very best

Giggs did not do it internationally for him but his longevity in Manchester United makes him a footie legend and not just a Manchester United legend.

His accolades is in respect of his Manchester United performances but doing it for so long makes him a footie legend. Gerrit?

funny enough Yaya Toure wasn't just sitting on the bench during his time at Barca(that was Keita you saw there brocheesy) and he was an active member of the squad, even started the champions league final.

Yaya's impact at Man City is ARGUABLE better than Mikel's impact at Chelsea, I mean he won the PFA award didn't he?

I didn't know winning the Afcon first is also a title?

Yaya is no longer in his prime. When Yaya was 30 he was tearing up the Epl not China. And Yaya's case is far far different. He was relegated to the bench because of disciplinaries issues not football-related issues

who said anything about international tourney again? Christ! And I am not complaining that he never made the FIFA XI but he never even made the list of nominees which includes close to 50-70 players, that is not so great
what has making FIFA to 50 got to do with club, clubs choose their legend and not FIFA, joetex frimpong is a legend for enyimba, verdy, mahrez, Kante, okazaki etc are legends for Leicester, Mikel is a Chelsea legend bt shevy who made FIFA top 3 is not a Chelsea legend, hope you grab.

ok so your point is that longetivity is a sure sign of legendary status? Have you heard of Hierrerio before(hope that's the spelling), from Madrid, do you know how long he stayed there and was a regular player too but is he a legend?

typical. I have already pointed out that Mikel was a great player for Chelsea who deserves a place in their history but not their legend, how does that make me a hater? Whenever you criticise a nigerian you become his/her hater? Will hating on Mikel increase my salary? Or will it elevate me to the rank of a consultant in 2months?

abeg no dey help them use useless players relate and compare with our best players. Pinto is a relatively unknown player in world football. Pinto starts and end in Barca. some don't even know where he x but ask a 10 year old who Mikel is.

Pinto is synonymous to Agbim. he was lucky to be in a championship winning team.

i think it was Bolton against Manu, he sprinted away from his marker(and the guy wasn't able to keep up) before he unleashed a strike. This was from his Bolton days, when you watch his matches for PSG you will see what he brings

that's what I want you to see, the bigger picture, each club have their legend who are you to dispute it with the individual club, we are not talking world legend here. what you are doing is like a Kenyan telling a Nigerian jayjay is not a Nigeria legend bcoz he has no nations cup medal nor has he won African best player.

I argue what I know. Wait. Are you talking of Hierro?

Jesu. Hierro is a Legend of Madrid and also a football Legend. That is not up for debate. That guy who gave Raul that Super pass and assist against us. Then scored that beautiful freekick against the Psychological unprepared Peter Rufai.

I think he was Captain of Madrid for long and also captained Spain.
