Ha. Pinto was not playing regularly. Mascherano was. Mikel was. Gerrit?

As if Busquets will play all the wings. You goofed not knowing Mascherano is a Barcelona legend. Know need to try to cover it with salad. cheesy

what Busquets does affects all the wings so yeah, he does dictate how all the wings are played

i think it was Bolton against Manu, he sprinted away from his marker(and the guy wasn't able to keep up) before he unleashed a strike. This was from his Bolton days, when you watch his matches for PSG you will see what he brings

He sprinted away from the player does not make that Okocha's style of play. Mikel has sprinted away a lot of times but that does not make Mikel a pacy player. Ha.

Does not change the fact he needs forwards to win and defenders to keep the goal out when he is keeping. You goofed. Simple. Mascherano is a Barcelona legend. Finito. Comprede Zilch.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Mickael2(m): 11:27pm On Sep 30, 2017
Yes he was their captain at some point but in no way is/was he a Madrid legend. That is the thing, just because you play very well for a team over a long stretch does not automatically make you a legend. Hierro would probably make it into the best 50 madrid players ever but that does not make him a club legend, Mikel wouldn't even make it into Chelsea's top 50 players(he probably should though but he is black)

TheGoodJoe:

I argue what I know. Wait. Are you talking of Hierro?

Jesu. Hierro is a Legend of Madrid and also a football Legend. That I not up for debate. That guy who gave Raul that Super pass and assist against us. Then scored that beautiful freekick against the Psychological unprepared Peter Rufai.

I think he was Captain of Madrid for long and also captained Spain.

Mickael2:

typical. I have already pointed out that Mikel was a great player for Chelsea who deserves a place in their history but not their legend, how does that make me a hater? Whenever you criticise a nigerian you become his/her hater? Will hating on Mikel increase my salary? Or will it elevate me to the rank of a consultant in 2months?

see if u wan criticise Nigerian players u v to do it objectively, with little or no Bias, we argue with evidence of the way Chelsea see Mikel not because of His Nigerian blood of because he is from Nigeria. Fifa will recognise him a legend, CAF will do d same those are the other 2 apart from Chelsea and NFF whose Opinion about him will be held in every argument.

How will you? Lol.

Go and watch Mikel versus Spain Highlight. There was a time he took the ball from the defence and ran to the midfield, until they had to bring him down.

Real Madrid legend Fernando Hierro once said of Claude Makelele, “I think Claude has this kind of gift.

“He’s been the best player in the team for years but people just don't notice him, don't notice what he does. But you ask anyone at Real Madrid over the years and they will tell you he was the best player at Real. We all knew, the players all knew he was the most important.”

if you are a writer you will know that proof-reading is best done by a different person, not the author. Sentiments may cloud your judgement(it affects everybody even me) but it won't hold sway for an outsider. I have always loved Mikel, where do you think my name came from? When I was in the university we played a tournament and that was how I got Mikel as my nickname but I told them I'd rather be original and took Mickael, so you can't doubt my love for Mikel Oga, but the truth has to be said

what are you saying guy,if I get you right arsenal board should proof read(select legend for Chelsea) while Chelsea board members and fans should preoccupy themselves by proof reading (selecting legend for Manchester United).
Abeg come explain again.

if it's the same match we have in mind, the player caught up with Okocha tried to mark him off the ball but fell, then Okocha advanced.

(Photo Confirmation) Nigeria Handed Boost As Iwobi Is Back In Full Training At ArsenalNigeria have been handed a fitness boost ahead of their World Cup qualifier against Zambia in Uyo, with Alex Iwobi given a clean bill of health by Arsenal medics to resume full training.

The winger took part in full training with the Gunners first team at London Colney on Saturday morning, and was photographed contesting for the ball with his good pal Chuba Akpom.

Iwobi played for the team wearing white bibs at the training session, and the team also included Alexis Sanchez, Nacho Monreal, Alexandre Lacazette, Granit Xhaka and Aaron Ramsey.

Chuba Akpom, Theo Walcott, Per Mertesacker, Maitland-Niles and Jack Wilshere were in the team wearing black bibs.

And that is an indication that the Super Eagles star is in line to be named in the match day squad against Brighton & Hove at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

If Iwobi features against the Seagulls and comes through the game unscathed, then he will report for international duty with the Super Eagles as from Monday, October 2.

All we have is good news. Balogun, Mikel, Moses, Ighalo 'rested' this weekend. Ekong scores!

But Zambia their boasts have been bringing them bad news.

Everything tilting to our favor already.

Nsofor Scores First Cape Town City Goal In Derby Win

September 30, 2017 5:17 pm

By James Agberebi: Former Super Eagles striker Obinna Nsofor scored his first goal for Cape Town City in their 2-0 away win against local rivals Ajax Cape Town in the South African Premier League on Saturday.
Nsofor, who was on from the start, opened scoring for Cape Town City in the 34th minute.
And with two minutes remaining, Judas Moseamedi wrapped up the game by netting Cape Town City’s winner.

The game was Nsofor’s third for Cape Town City since joining them from Darmstadt during the transfer window.

Cape Town have now moved up to third on 12 points and just one point behind leaders Lamontville in the South African top flight table.

Hierro - 14 years, 5 league titles, 3 UCL and over 100 goals scored for Madrid isn't a legend?? Bro are you kidding me? Dude wasn't only captain, but wielded powerful influence in the dressing room. I remember reading somewhere Steve McManaman saying nothing happened in the dressing room without his say so. If Hierro isn't a legend, then I don't know who is. Sure you can say Madrid have had better defenders, but to say he isn't a legend...wow!
