@bbaby84

Perhaps he asked for her surname and he can look her up on Facebook or something...

Hmmm. He better engage your research/ IT skills. Lol

lol i only had her firstname, at the time i wasnt even sure how it was spelt cos its a bini name. I didnt think it mattered since I meant to get her number before she leaves. however, my habbit of always planning for eventualities led me to copy her fullnames off her desk tag to my passport while I was waiting to fill out the forms for my TRF, this was before i abandoned it to go look for her.

I have already searched the internet, found a google plus profile and tried seeing if i could get her email off it.. no success yet, i'm a rat against almighty google. Facebook profiles arent active but dropped a request nonetheless. for now, my best lead is the google plus profile, would work on that and see how it goes. still laughing at myself but its fun.

I registered for the WES today and I have filled in my credit card details. So in the following page, I was given a reference number, but the application is still pending and the below message is showing on my dashboard page

You have submitted your application. Please allow 15 minutes for your status to be updated.

I'm yet to receive any message, and my money is yet to be deducted. I hope I'm still in the right direction? Thanks

Modified: money has been deducted and waiting for documents status have shown...

@bolded Fear of "village people", maybe? cheesy grin

On a serious note, beyond what is written in "black and white", experiences enrich the thread greatly.

There are many things that are not explicitly stated on IRCC's website e.g. standard reference + bank statement in lieu of recommended format, gift deed, 25% of pension as POF, positive assessment of ICAN's ACA, etc

Those who share their experiences should be appreciated smiley

As in ehnn... if you know what the bolded is causing for my friend.. he qualified in 2014. (before dashing WES money and report will come out unfavourable) we have been unable to find someone who evaluated qualification for that year to state if its favourable or not. i have pmed GoldenJem & MamaTobenna to no avail. people please keep sharing oo..

If I use NIPOST to send my files, would there be any issue? Because I read somewhere that somebody said that the best option is to use a courier. I don't have the cash (18,000) to use a courier at the moment. Can I go ahead and use NIPOST? Please someone should enlighten me. May God bless everyone here and I pray our wishes come to past insha Allah

Back to more important things.

I received the golden mail this morning. It is PPR people! God has just been so faithful. Wrote to them yesterday evening Nigerian time and they responded that it was in Ottawa and hasn't been finalized yet. Only to wake up to the golden mail this morning. Don't know if they work over night in the Ottawa office.

19days from AOR to PPR. It can only be God. I put the barest minimum I could put (apart from the bank reference letters). Didn't provide a single bank statement. Didn't include payslips and appointment letters. Had plenty travel history for both my husband and I. I had nearly all my funds in my husband's account. God just covered over any mistakes as none were intentional.

ITA = 9th Aug
AOR=11th sept.
MEDP= 21st sept.
IP1 = 22nd sept.
NA2 = 27th Sept
IP2 = 29th sept.
PPR = 30th sept.

Will send my passports once I return to my house next week.

Wow, congratulations XX01.... Mehn, I tap this speed. Congrats once again

Yes, you can use NIPOST. No issues atall. Save ur cash. You'll be needing more of it later on. And besides, you can scan and fax your documents. I want to believe you're talking about sending to WES.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY Y'ALL

Yes boss, I'm talking about WES. Wow! That's awesome. So the only thing I or my school will send via post would be the transcript right? Thanks a bunch, and happy independent to you too...

God bless you. I really appreciate this

From what you've provided, you'll have to go through Provincial Nomination with of your ages at 43 & 45. That's because the best case scenario CRS points without PN is 399. In that case, I suggest your spouse shouldn't bother with ECA or IELTS; save the cash.
So do the following to get started:
1. Evaluate your Masters with WES.
2. Sit IELTS test.
3. Enter the Express Entry pool.
4. Research Provincial Nomination for Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and maybe Ontario (U never can tell) and be up to date with their requirements.
5. Read page 0 of this thread. You will gain a lot of knowledge about the processes involved. [/quote]

Write it on top, or write it on a page and scan the page with your docs. Your aim is to get them to notice the reference number.
For your transcript, ensure the doc you print out on WES website is inserted in the envelope that goes to them.

According to CIC, Non-accompanying dependants are family members, i.e. you, your spouse (or common-law partner), your dependent children, or the children of your dependent children.
if you want this niece to feature in your application, I guess you have to adopt her first., i.e. get full custody of the child. Among the options you get to select when filling the form is "Adopted Child".

You should be fine with your one year bank experience as long as it was full-time (more points). Age is on your side. And you'll have a masters to boost your scores. Keep your head up. You'll obtain a decent CRS score.
The caveat is: will scores still remain as low as they currently are in 1-2 years' time after which you'll be done with your masters?

@impish, thanks for your help. I just checked my portal again now and the date is not there. Don't know what to do? I'm thinking I should maybe contact them through the "Contact Us" inquiry form. It takes them forever to reply. Any advice is appreciated. Happy Independence Day.

I don't think so. A parent can't be a dependant. The latter option is better: get your PR and then process a visa to visit.

I received copy of my GCMS yesterday and on it the case analyst said in bold letters that according to the GTB exchange rate at the time of my application, I do not meet the minimum required funds for single applicant. Hence under Eligibility, it shows Review Required.
I fixed 3M which at that time was about 12,700cad using Oanda which I uploaded.
My question is did I miss something, or the funds I fixed should have been more than that?
Is it now advisable to use bank rate?
