This raises questions to if rate applied at AOR are locked or fluctuates untill you've gotten PPR. The exchange rate even as close as two months ago on oanda was in the range NGN280/1CAD. For 3M it means your conversion rate was N243/1CAD to equal the minimum amount for single applicant which is CAD12,300. Probably at the time of your submission the rate you used was wrong or something else I can't explain happend. I'd let others weigh in on this. revlane: |

revlane: Many forget that in areas like this your application is at the near full discretion of the visa officer. He could have just gone on google and determined using the current exchange rate that your POF was not enough. He couldn't have had the time to dig out what the exchange rate was at the time you placed your application. This is why you want to consider two options: 1. Render your POF in Canadian dollars in a domicilliary account and remove the influence exchange rate fluctuations 2. Ensure your naira when converted to dollars is way above the requirement such that exchange rate fluctuations will have no influence in the foreseeable future. Clearly, you should have fixed more than that and not held your application by a thread. 14 Likes 2 Shares |

Ljay17: I noticed that we have few applicants going though the pnp route, so we have to source for a lot of info ourselves... However, Manitoba did a draw on 26th of September with a lil over 380 applicants.. still waiting for saskatchewan to be opened and Ontario to start issuing NOI hopefully this month or next. So let's all be watchful and hopeful. May God help us all... 1 Like |

MaSisi: Try and rewrite your IELTS for better scores of at least 8777. That 6 in your result will impact significantly on your scores. The goal is not just to enter the pool but to get high enough scores to be issued an invitation to apply. You can also get your spouse to write as well to boost your points. |

Shu! You should be thanking God, the application was not cancelled/rejected. If I were you, I would have calculated using black market rate by now, gotten the shortfall in my account, printed another statement and raised a CSE with the new POF details. In my opinion, how can rates be locked in My advice to people use Black market rate (this gives a buffer from official rate)...you know the naira is subject to foreign exchange fluctuations. Abi eventually when you get PPR and travel, is not the current black market dollar/PTA rate you will use for conversion? Even sometimes they ask for POF at the point of entry... My 2 cents...we are learning. revlane: 10 Likes 1 Share |

good day to everyone and happy independence I need you all to put me through, am a registered nurse here in Nigeria with my bnsc and a kid, though me and my patner is nt legally married . I want to know if I can include him in my profile besides, he is not going now cos he's currently running a program which will end by 2019,after which he will come to join us. Now my question is should I include him now, or he should file for his own separately, and as a nurse am i going to use same process like others or there is a way to do my certificate verification. thanks |

Today being a Sunday and the 1st day of the month, Let me use the opportunity to drop my testimony, (Although it is coming late) My Canadian PPR journey started around April last year(WES), I was tackling it bit by bit due to cash restrictions. I had some challenges along the line which includes: Error on my IELTS results, that was corrected when I was about to submit my profile. I also went the Provincial Nomination Route, and I had to pay an agent at a point. I created and deleted profiles, Changed international passport after profile submission. However to God's glory It all turned into a testimony. I have danced with the passport today and at times I still find it hard to believe that I have it. My sincere gratitude goes to Zandora for creating this thread and for giving insights at the nick of time. Also my shout out goes to 40ManLappy You are a legend! For those about to start and those en-route, may you share your testimonies shortly! Amen. ITA = 31st May AOR=4th July. MEDP= 26th July. IP1 = Don't know when it switched NA2 = Don't know when it switched IP2 = Don't know when it switched PPR = 26th August. 30 Likes 1 Share |

Thanks for the input. I raised the issue here so many people can learn from it. Sometimes they minute on your application and just leave it like that for months not touching it. You won't know what is going on. My advice is to take note of all these info here before submitting any application and when you notice their isn't movement for a long while (Not London V.O) try to order GCMS to at least see your application status. I have been asked to pay RPRF sha so I guess am lucky. folamingo: 6 Likes 2 Shares |
