Andreas Perreira played as a RW last Night and he was very impressive. He's really improving at Valencia, and I hope he's coming to United in January.

He's really needed in the Team, but if JM ain't gonna give him Chance, then he should be allowed to continue his Development in Spain till the End of the Season.

I saw about twenty minutes of the second half and I saw him on the LW. Maybe he switched. He had few a chances could've gotten a goal. He looked a bit jaded/disinterested though, maybe OT was on his mind.

Just put Fellaini in there nd he'll disrupt the whole city midfield.

How? When City don't play long balls

My Mistake, he actually played on the Left. Thanks for the Correction.

Before Morata got injured, you guys were still pinned back. You guys try to play through the middle and not through the flanks, else Pedro could have started. Conte knows neutralising Sane was important, that's why he went for Apzi instead of moses and try choking the midfield. Overall City were the better side and they deserved their victory and yes you guys park the bus.

In as much as I wouldn't take anything away from City's brilliant display on Saturday, I think Chelsea's lethargic performance was partly due to that exhausting CL fixture (away to Athletico).

Mourihno shouldn't park any yeye bus Vs City (especially at Oldtrafford). Yeah, he could be a bit "cautious" with his team selection, formation & tactical approach but I wouldn't like to see us being bossed around at home....only to lose.

I hope none of our players gets injured during the international break.

Elampiro... Your Phil Jones has been very good so far oh - Dominating everywhere with so much power & Gusto. grin

I hope he has finally exorcised his injury demons (most especially the ones that are self inflicted).

I remember when we had those Jones debates.
I have always believed in him rather than that Smalling that is barely a footballer and he is also better than that Rojo that was the flavor of the month last season.
Jones and Bailly are our best CBs and it's not even close IMO.
Will be assessed again when the new CB Lindelof settles down though.

Lukaku and Fellaini were rightly positioned for the two goals Fellaini scored

The first goal: Fellaini scored from same position he has scored many vital goals from us. Again, a cross coming from Ashley Young with his right foot from that position he made the cross from, Fellaini should typically be at the far post. It looks Lukaku missed the ball already, so too were the two defenders that flanked him on both sides. The only person that read the flight of the ball correctly or was rightly positioned to deal with it, else it flew out of play, was Fellaini. As soon as the ball went in, Lukaku immediately celebrated which shows he probably missed the ball and was happy a team mate ghost in to score.

The second goal by Fellaini: Fellaini was playing ahead of Lukaku in the box. It could be the tactics from training or just a natural understanding between the two. Again, if Lukaku decided to stay out of the six yards box, what stops another player from occupying it?

If I remember correctly, the last time Barca beat Madrid, the guy who scored the winning goal was playing ahead of Messi and Suarez.

Paulinho played against Messi during an international friendly between Brazil and Argentina and the midfielder has admitted in an interview with El Periodico that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner sounded him out over a move - as he prepared to take a free-kick.

"It's true. It was in the friendly that we played against Argentina in June,” Paulinho said.

“I was preparing to take a free-kick with Willian and another player I do not remember.

“Suddenly, I see Messi from behind, who is approaching me little by little and says: 'Are you going to Barcelona or not?'

“He told me right before I was about to take the free-kick.”

Messi left Paulinho nervous

The incident left Paulinho so nervous that he told Chelsea’s Willian to take the free-kick.

"What did I tell him? 'If you want to take me, you can take me. I am going'.

“I was so nervous that I said to Willian, 'You're taking the free-kick!'

“After the game, I was able to exchange shirts with him. He did not let me shoot the free-kick, but I'm here."

When Messi comes calling, you just don’t say no.

I haven't been following him but a cursory look at his stats shows that he has been "performing wonders" - 2 goals & 4 assists already.

Hmmm...

Me thinks Jones should be managed the way Fergie Managed Rio when the CB was having chronic injury issues. I was pleased to see him (Jones) rested vs CSKA. It wouldn't be a bad idea to see him subbed (with 10-15 mins left) against teams such as Crystal palace (when we are coasting to victory already ofcourse).

Definitely agree with you. I was just talking about those that doubted his quality.
If Jones and Bailly stay fit and DDG is at the back our defense is almost settled.
Those 3 are that good.

I really hope we sell smalling while we can still get decent money from him. West ham are likely going to pay more. Stoke and westbrom would be good fits for him too and would be interested.
When Rojo and lindelof become really available, it would make no sense keeping him around anymore

I think it was majorly due to his rashness and agidi - tbh, I belong(ed) to the school of thought that saw Jones as a typical English defender that uses scoori & egun-ori

So far this season, i think he has shown the desired maturity & composure some of us have craved for..while keeping it solid and uncompromising.

His 1st major test comes up in 2 weeks time.

I don't trust Rojo sef. Would see how things go with him when he gets back. All he had really was a 3 month purple patch. Smalling had 6 month patch under LVG.
I say for next season promote Tuanzebe ahead of those guys and sell Smalling and MAYBE Rojo.

He is partly to blame for that misconception to be fair.
He is a player with quality on the ball and intelligence but who tries to prove he is a Shawcross clone. That is why he gets injured easily. His natural game is interceptions and blocks but he wants to be a tackling super hero

all Rojo's bad games came from LB, at least almost all.
The moment he was given an extended run of games at CB, he started to excel.
Momentary moment of rashness(when he decides to lose his head and starts to two foot players) aside, Rojo to me is a very welcome member of the squad.
He got away with 2/3 last season in successive matches last season.. Lol.

Watching smelling tremble from before a ball is played to him to when he finally decides to pass it back to de gea after spreading shoulders is so disgusting.

We both know that how Mou will set up his team at Home is quite different from how he set it up away from home. He might be cautious at home but he's definitely not going to park the bus. i really do fancy our chances against City. We will trouble their defence. that one is sure.

With that yeye L'pool defence, I will be gutted if we don't take the whole 3 pts.

last last, it matters little how well we play against the so called big 6.
90% of the league is won against the so called small teams.
Just make sure they don't take points off you, that's all.
