Please learn before you go and say this outside. Simple Roy Keane is a baller. Will you say because of Balotelli's bad attitude that he can not play ball?

Accept you goofed. Take correction and move on.

Obviously you don't know Roy Keane. I will be surprised if you knew his shirt number for Utd or Ireland without checking Google. Roy Keane was known to be first and foremost a brawler.

(Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane has revealed he once left teammate Peter Schmeichel with a black eye following a pre-season brawl).

It's a shame you can come up here to make assumptions that Roy Keane was otherwise technically brilliant. What you can't say on international forum, you comfortably write such here.

Abeg don't make me laugh

With Roy, I knew he was a great footballer, but until I played with him I didn’t realize how great.

His passing was probably the best I’ve played with, in terms of getting it to the forward’s feet.

I’d always associated him as someone who got around the pitch making tackles, but his passing blew me away.’...Wayne Rooney

Considering Rooney’s played with pass masters such as Carrick, Scholes, Giggs, and Beckham, Gerrard and Lampard for England, it’s a huge compliment to make to his former captain, who he only played with in the twilight of the Irishman’s career.

Move on. You goofed. Now you know Roy Keane was a good footballer. Trying to defend the goof led you to another goof. A career ending tackle does not mean Roy Keane could not ball well. He was a genius. Finito.

Keep deluding yourself. You should be thanking me for enlightening you about Roy Keane.

This is what I found on reddit forum

" Everything Roy Keane achieved in football wasn't because he was the most talented or the most creative it's because he wanted it more than anyone else. I probably wouldn't like him as a friend but I'd love if he was on my team.
Now he was talented and he was creative but what singled him out was drive. I hate United but his performance against Juventus in the '99 semi-final, especially after he was carded and knew he'd miss the final, was ridiculous.

Honestly, I don't know who is better between the sticks hence my choice of Akpeyi.

We are not under pressure to win, they are. So, I presume they will go for early goal to put us under pressure.

So, I think we should defend in the 20 minutes of the first half and see what they're up to.

While defending, we are also counter attacking with rapid speed.

Those Zambians are faster than the Cameroonians.
I don't think Akpeyi has the confidence of Ezenwa, but it seems to me that Ezenwa could be reckless sometimes.

Reading through the statement you will realise Rooney subtly remarked that he was the type who went about making tackles all over the pitch. Why would he think that he does that in the first place?

I took time to explain to you, because of the role, people misjudge their ability with the ball as you tried to do. I explained that if not Mikel’s Junior years and Nigeria, people will think Mikel was not creative but you continue arguing.

It is because of the role. There is little room for risk. They just recycle. It does not mean they lack creative abilities. If you want to argue, continue.

I expect a professional game from the Super Eagles. Hopefully Genort Rohr will fix our now famous first 10-20 minutes lethargy.

This time around I expect us to start on the front foot, playing sensible football.

I expect the Zambians to show resilience in certain phases but ultimately I expect them to crack in the second half. Being a young side, they are bound to make a few errors in the second half. The likes of Kelechi and Iwobi will have a lot of fun coming into the fray in the second half when the Zambians are considerably gassed out.
I don't think that slow start to a game by the eagles can be stopped anytime soon, in fact it has been ingrained into all our national football team be it female football or Age grade teams, it's now a routine or better put CULTURE to start like that.

But I'm expecting a good game with a 4-2-3-1 game plan

Of course, AVB contributed to that success na. After all, he took them to the quarter finals. grin
AVB took Chelsea to quarter final?

My man Di Matteo took Chelsea to quarter final after turned d 1st leg 3-1 lost to Napoli in d 2nd leg by winning 4-1.

My man anything to say again

Pls stop ridicule d big boss

Stephen Okechuckwu Keshi made his debut for Eagles in 1981 at d age of 19 and made d team to Libyan 82,later bench Chairman Christian Chuckwu during d tourney.

Keshi remain d youngest player to captain Eagles at age of 22 in 1984 afcon

The big boss left d country in frustration after Group Captain Tony Ikhazoboh ban him from national team just coz he represent NNB in WAFU cup final and couldn't make Lagos camp d same day

As God we have it Stade fc in Abidjan safe his career by signed him up,after 6 months,Lokeren in Belgium came calling and signed for Lokeren.

Keshi moved to Belgian giants Anderlecht after a season with Lokeren and paved way for so many Nigerian players namely Austin Eguavoen,Samson Siasia, Etim Esin,Ademola Adeshina,Chidi Nwanu,Peter Rufai, even a Ghanian Nii Odartey Lamptey, just to mention a few.

Big boss was d first Nigerian to ever played in final of any UEFA competition (Anderlecht vs Sampdoria)which Anderlecht lost by 2 goals to nil courtesy of famous Italian Legend Vialli.

Keshi moved from Anderlecht to Strasbourg in French league, singlehandedly took Strasbourg from 2nd division to division 1 and paved way for young Nigerian players like Victor Ikpeba, Godwin Okpara who was signed by Strasbourg through Keshi's recommendation.

Big boss was d first Super Eagles captain to qualified Nigeria for world cup, despite a terrible knee injury that sidelined him for months, Keshi returned and captain d team against Algeria in Algiers,a very tense match that we need a draw, thank to Findi goal.

Till today he remain d highest goal scoring defender in Nigeria, his goal ratio better than King KANU.

Also only player in Nigeria to lead Super Eagles to 2nd round in d world cup as a player and coach.

Keshi remain d only player in Nigeria to lift sfcon as a player and coach,so respect to a great Legend that comes out of Africa.

The first African to coach three Africa national team, namely Togo,Mali,Nigeria.

Keshi w be remembered for qualified tiny Togo for biggest football event in d world(world cup)

Truly he failed to qualify Nigeria to 2015 afcon, but his pedigree as a player and coach cannot be debated or ridicule.

Respect to d big boss Stephen Okechuckwu Keshi.

Folks, countrymen, Nigerians!!!
Can we please leave this legendary talk of Mikel being a legend. There will always be arguments as to wwho is a legend, who is better between Messi and CR7, who is the greatest footballer Pele or Maradona and so on.

The discourse at hand should be Nigeria vs Zambia. I expect tactics, analysis and strategies with the pool of players we have invited. What Zambians think is irrelevant cos what they havent factored in is the high humidity levels in Nigeria. One thing is sure, if our selection is devoid of sentiments and is done with utmost objectivity, we will definitely fly.
Therefore people, let the analysis flow, projections, and so on .... legend talk is a bit... er... um ... boring!!!

"Keane wasn't some pass master, which it seems some are making out to be. He had an extremely limited passing range, used to mainly play safe passes and the only really somewhat risky pass he'd play is the flat one through the lines into an attackers feet. Let's not make him sound like Scholes here."

Roy Keane is one of a kind. If that is your definition of a genius. Alex Ferguson spent years trying to replace Roy Keane but he could not. That was why he was desperate for Mikel. He wanted Mikel to fill the void left by Roy Keane.

He also tried Hargreaves but injury did not give Hargreaves the chance. So Keane is one of a kind.
This is really a matter of your opinion. An opinion that I can safely say is held by you alone. Not even Ferguson can say Roy Keane is a genius cos if he does then he'd have to extend that to Scholes, to Giggs, to Schiemechel, to Beckham. The irrepleaciblity of a player is not the criteria for genius. No DM is a footballing genius.

Hahahahahah! This girl just like wahala, I swear. grin

Wetin man do na? grin

Make I no talk wetin I see again? Shuuuu! shocked grin

I am not even talking about the weakness or strength of our team. I am only discussing what I saw when I watched the Zambia's game and I noticed they rely on crossing the ball from the wings.

Virtually, all their goals came from the wings during this campaign hence the need to block or stop them from the wings.

Besides, there is one guy Orchestrating the play from the midfield and I think he has to be tamed.

But here you are talking about hate and your feelings when you know they are inconsequential in public domain where opinions should/must differ. grin

This is no longer Football matter girl. Hold yourself and stop expressing feelings that has nothing to do with soccer in public domain.

Even this feelings are fake because you are in a fake cyber World where Saint could be mistaken for devil or devil mistaken for saint. grin

Now, put that behind you and let's talk Football.

It depends on where the coach plays Mikel.

If Moses Simon and Victor Moses have athleticism are they to hold the Zambian's wingers? grin

My focus is to curtail the Zambian's wingers. It's as simple as that but if you have different opinions share them and stop using emotions to deal with the society.

That level of mind set is low. grin

Of course, we have a better team than Zambia but with wrong selection and tactics, believe me anything can happen.

Manchester City has better team than Chelsea is only in your dreams. grin

hope you feel better now.

Sincerely I've not watched any of their double header against Algeria. Which is why I've not said a thing on this matter. Over to the rest of us.

I saw clips of it though. But i'm not informed enough

I watched their games against Algeria, both of the games, their wingers are good yes, but their midfield is useless.

Echiejile may be a weak link, but if V Moses is working on the same wing, he can bring in his defensive abilities and mute them down.

Once again, it could be a case of overrating them, because the opposition matters a great deal on what a team looks like during play.

As long as Rohr has worked on the wingers, I do not think those guys would give our CBs much trouble.

Maybe some people are now seeing them as Brazil which is laughable, but considering Algeria looked like Tahiti most of the time, I can understand why such people were seeing things.

I know how many times Algerians lost balls that simply shouldn't have been lost and their passing was horrific, it's like they had zero team chemistry and simply couldn't find each other in the final third. That was their biggest issue

I know many people will not regard my input because oga forgiveness has put the fear of God in them as he's wont to do....but I do believe we tackled this panic last month and icon4s put it to rest.

None of us on this thread want to be in Russia more than any of the guys on that team and most of them have never been to any major tournament, so, for once in this country, it would be nice if a little optimism was expressed rather than allowing rabblerousers get into your head
